"What a wonderful stop on our trip! The property was beautiful and Edele and Alessio were so attentive to our needs. We had a seven course tasting menu and breakfast prepared by Sonia Russell and Louise Hynes. The food at both meals was so delicious and there was so much attention to detail. One dish, the pea and mint soup, brought tears to my wife’s eyes. The house and rooms were beautifully decorated and we were very comfortable. We cannot say enough about The Blackwell House. We will definitely return! "

"Great wee place. Nice and quiet and the accommodation was clean and comfortable. Host was very kind in leaving local food and a bit of milk to get you going ( great idea for a cup of tea). Also has a chap of the door where I kind man gave me half a dozen fresh eggs. They were lovely and the eggs looked like what I used to see as a kid- white, brown and light blue. ( I think that he was the hosts father). Loved the Amazing fire stick which was useful for Prime, Netflix etc. Bed was really comfy. Anyway, in short can't fault the place "

"Great place for a relaxing getaway, away from the hustle and bustle of city life - this is a real working farm and we enjoyed seeing horses, cows and lambs! I'd booked a wheelchair-accessible room and we actually received an entire suite with very easy access and gorgeous views. The proprietors even brought us breakfast right to our room and were extremely helpful and hospitable. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! "
