"100% a crack shack … do not stay. As soon as we checked in I was told our room was on the 4th floor and the elevator was broken and no other rooms available, mmk. When we pulled around the back to our room, there was a hooker in a green ripped up stripper outfit hollering at us from one of the balconies asking if we lived around here… there were multiple run down men smoking out front of the lower ground level rooms that I believe they lived in. We’re not even in the building yet … The front doors were broken and wedged open, there were boards up everywhere much like you do for abandoned buildings. So then we needed to walk up cold stairs to the fourth floor, which it wrecked of marijuana and there was a junkie more than likely a prostitute hanging in the stair way … the room was dated and old, the faucet to bathroom sink just hanging, … the bed was wobbling like crazy, marks of substance all over the comforter and pillows. I left and bought new blankets and pillows for the night, along with disinfecting spray, wipes and air purifier. The room wrecked of smoke the entire time despite all the nonsmoking signs hanging all throughout the hall. With the elevator being broken I can’t imagine anyone going up there to clean anything … especially not the two sleeve ball men working the front desk. "

"Room was in terrible condition. Floors were ripped up, paint was peeling off the walls, tried to get towels and they told me they had none. No one was ever at the front desk or answering the phone. They also don’t offer housekeeping on the weekends. Our toilet stopped working and instead of coming to fix it they handed my husband a plunger and told him to try that. Do not recommend this hotel."

"It was skeptical at first. I didn’t know what we were getting ourselves into, then I met who also was staying there, it was not all that bad. I had a good time. We were not there as much. Pinball is great if you know how to play. Thank you."

"This property looked and felt tired. Kind of like a hotel that wants to be a luxury hotel ... but hasn't figured it out or shared that with their employees. The bathroom was dirty with scuff marks on the door and shower and literal dirt in the corners. Peeling wallpaper. The bed's top sheet had a foot-long tear right at the top. That was fun. Housekeeping was hit or miss. We finally had to ask for our room to be serviced. And they were the stingiest hotel I've ever seen for leaving towels and washcloths. One per guest, which is problematic if you spend the day sweaty outdoors and want to refresh before dinner. (I will not re-use a washcloth.) Plus, there was very little place to put your clothes. My wife and I were there for a week and there weren't enough hangers for even her clothes. I had to spread my shirts out of the couch. Plus, there was no bureau or chest of drawers to put your other clothes in so we had stuff in our suitcases all week. There was a neat electric tea pot in the room ... but not once during the week did they leave any cups. They have a rec area with a pool table but ... and this is kind of indicative of the rest of the property ... the table felt was coming loose and the three cues were useless: two didn't have tips and the remaining cue was split in the shaft. Do you need a pool table at a hotel? No. Not at all. But if they do offer one, it should at least be in decent shape. Bottom line: There are definitely cleaner, more modern hotel in RVA. "

"Staff was great but the room was not. It looked like someone had been lying in the bed before we arrived, there were towels missing, the furniture was old and worn, and it was really loud outside the room. Will never return. "

"Only one elevator was working and at times it took me around 5-8 minutes to get on! Elevator was packed and everyone was complaining. Frustrating especially since your rate for my stay was $350 which is pretty steep."

"Everything was good, the only thing was the front screen door being jammed closed so we had to walk around back to get into the house. We also had to enter the access code a couple of times on the back door key pad for it to open fully."
