"The house was spacious and cosy. Plenty of outdoor space for the children to play. Plenty of games to play, lots of butterflies and bees and swings in the trees. Shame the ponds were dried up because of the heat but the areas are lovely. An amazing holiday for our family. Thank you."

"What a find!!! If you are looking for peace and relaxation this is the place for you. Lovely lodge with everything you need in it. The washing facilities are great. Richard, the host, is very amicable and doesn't mind stopping for a chat. You are able to walk anywhere on the farm and he doesn't mind. The added bonus of a hot tub really made our week. We are already taling about when we can fit in another break away to this piece of heaven."

"Beautiful, secluded property. Very comfortable with good quality equipment, towels and bedding. It should be mentioned there is a step up into the kitchen and the bathroom. Although dogs are allowed you cannot really let them on the garden as the owner requests that they do not urinate or defecate on the garden! The view from the outside seating is of two containers. The cottage is also quite full of the owners hoarding hidden away behind pieces of fabric and as a guest it would be nicer if this wasn't present. The first impression on going in is of a dark dingy place but once you get into the main room it is lovely. TV reception is very patchy. You could spend a week just reading the interesting and varied library of books However, regardless of the few personal negative comments this is genuinely a lovely spot to stay and the owner is friendly but not in your face. Your sleep quality will be much improved by the seclusion and nocturnal darkness."

"Our first stay in a shepherd's hut and it was absolutely brilliant everything we could ask for and more. The hosts were very helpful and friendly too. Lots of walks and fishing to be done in the area. Would definitely go again."

"A lovely little remote getaway. A little chilly initially, but lovely and cosy once warmed up, and especially once we googled how to set the timer on the heater. Owners lovely, welcoming people, but not intrusive."
