"I would stay here again. The staff were kind and helpful. The full kitchen and laundry in the room was very convenient. The location of the hotel is also convenient while also providing another perspective of juneau. I was able to walk everywhere and even to the two tralheads I visited, one in juneau and the other on Douglas Island. The hotel itself is a bit older and a little worn but that provides it some character and also seems a bit fitting for Alaska. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and I would visit again."

"I don't believe there is parking, unless theres no time limit on curb parking. I came in by plane, so no car & I didn't ask. Huge cruise ships park just a few blocks away so sometimes there's lots of paople. I love the turn of the century antique decoration and atmosphere. I loved it enough to walk up 1 or 2 flights of stairs, but I discovered this trip that I'm too old to do that again. No elevator. The street level is home to a large turn-of-the- century saloon that will hold a good size crowd. There's live music every night. I especially liked the Thur night open mike. Staff and customers alike were friendly and pleasant to talk with. Room rates are inexpensive, but a draft beer in the bar was more than I expected. If you're fit, strong and appreciate the decor and antiques,"

Waterfront on Glacier

Waterfront on Glacier

8/10 Good
"Stayed at The Waterfront for a conference in June. The staff were LOVELY - very upbeat, welcoming and helpful. The rooms are quite pretty and the beds are comfortable. The floor of my room had some stray dirt and wrappers, likely just missed during house cleaning (everything else, including the sheets and bathroom, was very clean), which is what led to the 3/5 star cleanliness rating. Parking is super easy, it’s just out front. The hotel was undergoing some construction when I stayed there, but it was never a bother. There was however some road noise, as the major road through Juneau passes right next to the hotel. It probably wouldn’t have been an issue if I was on the other side of the hotel though (and I would have missed out on beautiful sunset views of the harbor). The gym is pretty basic, just some free weights and a couple of machines, but if you’re in Juneau for outdoor stuff it shouldn’t matter much."
