"I absolutely enjoyed my stay here. Clean, comfortable room with great water pressure. Probably the best shower I've had in all of Sri Lanka The location is great. Close enough to walk to the city centre but still far enough away from the city noise Best part about this hotel though is the receptionist Dilrukshi. Very friendly, personable and genuine. Always greets you with a smile and asks about how you're doing in a non forced way, you can tell she actually cares about her guests. Thank you Dilrukshi and the rest of the staff. I look forward to coming back"
Castle Hill Bungalow by Seven Angels

"A heritage property with charm. Lovely gardens, infinity pool and common areas. Staff are friendly and do all to help. The location is elevated and a quick tuk into town or walk. As travelling solo I booked a double room and not on the larger. Whilst they are clean and comfortable with all you need I would suggest book a larger room if you can as there was no natural light in the rooms as there were shutters that were covered. It was ok as I sat in common areas to read etc. Just a heads up. Also as the room backs on to back of house areas you could hear lots of noise so recommend ear plugs. The breakfast was lovely and served in the garden area. The staff work hard perhaps a little overstretched as one person seemed to be doing most tasks and working exceptionally hard. Whilst it doesn’t have views etc the vibe of the property is a welcome change to the usual standard 4-5 star hotel that all feel the same. I would happily stay again just pick one of the larger rooms."

"Stayed 1 night in August, wish it had been longer. Lovely hotel overlooking the lake, a really nice setting. Food at the restaurant was very good, and the rooftop swimming pool was perfect for unwinding in the evening after a long day of sightseeing. Would happily stay again, ideally for longer next time."

"The staff went above and beyond to welcome us. When I thought I'd lost my passport they were ready to help in whatever way they could. The breakfast and dinner were terrific. In addition to all the traditional breakfast items there was a wide assortment of local dishes. We sampled as many as we could. The pool was lovey, the gym was clean and the hot tub was delightful. We made it to the nightclub and danced to the DJ who started at 6pm. We went at 8pm and had the dance floor to ourselves. We had an issue with some guests two rooms down from us that were very loud at 3am. I informed the staff and it ended about 15 minutes later."
