Escape the city to quiet and picturesque Golden Eagle, IL..

"This was our second time staying at The Barn and it was as nice as the first time. When we went upstairs we found a note Susan left for us along with homemade banana bread (truly delicious) and other snacks. The Barn is very comfortable, whether cooking a meal in the fully furnished kitchen, relaxing with a book on a comfortable chair, or playing a game in the Man Cave. As for the outside, the views are awesome from the deck or patio, with plenty of wildlife to see. One of our favorites is the hot tub, in the mornings we watched the sunrises, and after dark you can see a sky full of stars. The Barn is close to many attractions, and the Brussels ferry (no charge) gets you over to Grafton for all the attractions they have. We took the Skytour up to Aeries Winery for lunch, then rode their Alpine Coaster before taking the Skytour back down. Susan and Mike are great hosts and have a hidden gem for anyone looking for a wonderful home to get away from the busy life and have a chance to relax. Thank you for everything, we're looking forward to our next visit!"
