Karragarra Island Hotels

"BEWARE! We paid a high price for this place because the listing said "breakfast included" and that it was a top-rated breakfast. In reality, the breakfast consisted of a little bag of cereal, a mini muesli bar, and a juice box, in the room. Apparently there used to be a restaurant on the premises, but it is permanently closed. Also, the A/C was not working. It made a noise like it was trying to start up every couple of minutes, but couldn't start. The noise continued even though we turned it off. Also, the carpet was badly stained in several places and there was an odd smell in the room. The "windows" were glass block, so we couldn't see outside unless we opened the door, and the TV was tiny. This is not the high rated motel that they want you to think it is. We feel totally mislead and ripped off!"

"Upon arrival and checking in the receptionist was very helpful and pleasant. Arriving at the room ,which is very spacious, with all the necessary. Turning on the TV was a problem and the toilet seat had come adrift. Going back to report this ,it was actioned promptly. Flat batteries in remote and incorrect. Toilet seat secured but landed up coming off again. Need to change style of seat. Curtains require reclipping into hooks so that they can be opened and closed. Seafood restaurant only open Friday/Saturday which was disappointing as we were looking forward to having this for dinner. Not highlighted on website. Bar area has a good atmosphere but should get rid of broken stools and not be left to the side. Distracts from what could be an even better part of the hotel "

"Stayed here a week, for the location. Staff were very kind to allow me early access to the room due to a medical matter. Room was old school but clean and comfortable. View of the parking lot reduced privacy. Busy area. Free parking and walking distance to buses, many shops and food venues very handy. Food at the hotel bistro was very good and we enjoyed several times and invited others for lunch there as well. Hotel, bistro and cleaning staff are all lovely. "

"The location and overall clenliness was good. We did have an issue with drain fly larva that would crawl out of the ensuite shower daily. Raised the issue but took sometime to get back to me and was not resolved during our stay. The other thing I did not like was that they sent the temporary gate code via a group text meaning my number along with others checking in the same day were shared with each other."

"Clean room and close to small local shops. Cute little shop across the road that serves wonder food and drinks. Would stay here again if I’m in the area. "
