"Traveling from the Northeast we were thrilled with the cozy forest setting - so much like home, hidden within the desert hilltops, and yet so close to the ocean! The enchantingly decorated cottage and surrounding landscape design, including charming antiques, artwork and lighting effects, combined with contemporary household conveniences, delightful spa tub and pool, outdoor kitchen, fire pits, and easy communication with the hosts, made for a pleasant stay at this peaceful mountain resort. Easy access to Malibu beaches, Calabasas, Simi Valley, LA activities, and great canyon hiking trails were a definite plus. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. We were in the area for a large family gathering and enjoyed a late Sept visit - perfect for a little couples getaway! We’ll definitely consider returning in the future! "

"Gorgeous view, very nicely furnished, dolphins swam right in front of us daily between 9 and 10 am, direct access to a relatively quiet beach (though we headed to Zuma most of the time because it was better for our teens to body board) ... at high tide sitting on the balcony is like being out on a boat (without the swaying), super relaxing"
"Our very good friend drove from Iowa to meet us at this little slice of paradise. We stayed in the guest house and the accommodations were absolutely perfect. As good as the inside was the outside was over the top- from amazing views, crystal clear pool, and the large fire pit. Jack took amazing care of and had some great stories.
