"The whole experience was excellent, we had a first floor room, but the member of staff decided to up grade us to an apartment over the road at no extra cost because I wasn't able to do the stairs. We had a continental breakfast that we had to book and pay for there was also a cooked breakfast for extra money where as in their amenities info, the breakfast was free, I mentioned this to a member of staff The only thing that we didn't enjoy was the IT tech sent to us before our stay. I informed a member of staff about this and she was talking to her manager stating that the older customers couldn't grasp the IT Tech as they were not knowledge able with such things and were always afraid they had not booked their stay."

"The overall stay was good , with clean and well presented room . Only thing which I noticed was it’s an old building and the rooms electric infrastructure is dated . There are no usb charging port on the electric switches . I was really surprised and as I was not carrying the plugs , had to buy 2 plugs to get the charging going for the gadgets . The rooms are around £145 per night approx with No USB charging port really ……!! shocking !!!"

"Perfect base for us to visit family in the local area. Comfy beds, large garden, smart tvs in living room and bedroom. Very close to local shops. Good for parking. Host was easily contactable and helpful. Great value for money. Complimentary coffee machinewas a plus! Would stay again! "

"Bramley cottage is a recently-built (2022) bespoke 1-bed single-storey cottage ideal for a couple, and is very dog-friendly. From the cottage, there is a pleasing outlook over the orchard, the plums were in-season and being picked by visitors to the site, which now includes a cafe. The cottage is near the far end of the estate (furthest from Ashlyns Lane, and visible on Google Maps), so were were never disturbed, its a wonderfully peaceful place. We had a great time here, helped by good weather. The condition of the cottage was superb. There was plenty of space for us and our dog, a comfy sofa, excellent shower, and all the mod-cons you need in the kitchen area.Our dog was well-looked after too with treats being left for them, the whole garden being fenced in (very small dogs might be able to escape). Nice outdoor furniture. My only suggestion for improvement to complete the luxury feel would be an upgrade to King or super-king bed, with fine cotton sheets, although the existing is certainly adequate.We will certainly be visiting again in future - we were visiting family and it was very close-by and convenient for us. For anyone with reservations about the look of property - we had initially thought from the pictures that it was a 'disguised' mobile-home, but it is not, it is a properly built, solid, and desirable property. I would happily own it as a second-home.James (who was helpful and pleasant, but not obtrusive at all) and the family should be congratulated on such a lovely property.Finally, a quick note for any particularly "large" people considering staying - you might find the toilet positioned too-close to the side wall for your comfort."

"My husband and I recently stayed at Russets at the Bloomfield Fruit Farm in Chipping Ongar with our dog and had an exceptional experience. The location is quiet and tranquil, perfect for a peaceful getaway. The accommodation itself was lovely. It was clean, comfortable, nicely decorated and renovated, more spacious than expected, and it had everything we needed. James, the host and owner, was generous and kind, leaving us a thoughtful welcome gift of Prosecco when he learned we were newlyweds.James also noticed we were having car trouble and offered his assistance. He turned out to be a knowledgeable car electronics technician and took time out of his day to help us diagnose the issue, which was incredibly helpful.Additionally, James treated us to a lovely cappuccino, showcasing his skills as an experienced barista, as they were about to open a cafe on the farm. The hospitality was impressive, and I highly recommend staying here."

"Excellent stay in luxury Shepherds Hut with all you could need. Sorry we didnt get to use the log burner, but we were out every night at the excellent pub restaurants near by. Thank you."
