"Our host Rod is justly proud of his restoration of this historic property and his beautiful Japanese garden. Our room was comfortable and well set up (though quite small), and the location in Tenterden is perfect for great restaurants from high-end Italian at Montalbano to good pub food at The Vine. Nearby are several fantastic National Trust gardens and the unique museum at actress Ellen Terry's house in Small Hythe. Perfect for a short break in Kent."

"Greeted with a very warm welcome by Hannah. Lovely deluxe room. View over town and garden. Tea coffee etc facilities were excellent with a little treat of Tiffin too. Only constructive criticism would be to provide better quality toilet roll! "

"The lodges are spotless, spacious, well equipped and very well situated for many attractions. The included in-room breakfast was very generous and varied. Porridge, cereal, fruit yoghurt, croissants with jam and orange juice. Tea and coffee. There is a personal picnic bench outside the door to enjoy it in the sunshine with the birds singing. The pub did great food in a lovely dining room. -it’s perfect and we will come back soon"
