Greeting on arrival was warm and friendly. Breakfast was really good and room clean and comfortable. Accommodation was within easy walking distance of the tiwn.

Really enjoyed my stay. The room was quiet, warm and comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent. Liz & Chris were warm and welcoming, and gave good advice for exploring the area. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if I'm back in Keswick.

Superb hosts great location and fantastic guest house excellent breakfast and couldn’t recommend more.Keswick is a stunning place to visit and will definitely be back sometime soon.

What an amazing quiet and very comfortable B&B that is a few minutes walk from keswick town centre. The owners made me and my friend very welcome. They were first class super hosts. The breakfasts were superb and we were even treated to some yummy cake which was such a nice touch. I will definitely be staying again :)

There was nothing not to like! The owner was lovely and obliging. The room was very comfortable, quiet with a lovely view across the town to the mountains. The room was clean and well decorated. The bed was comfortable, and the en suite was bright and clean. Breakfast was perfect.

Hosts Liz and Chris are lovely, very welcoming. Breakfast options are amazing. Highly recommend Liz's homemade granola and the avocado on sour dough. Would definitely recommend this property and will definitely visit again, great location.

Forth time at Goodwin House.
I have been visiting Keswick for a good few years and always been very happy with any B&B I used. However, this was my forth consecutive stay at Goodwin House, either as a solo traveller, or more often with my partner, but always thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. I'm looking forward to my next visit with them.

Excellent B&B
Immaculately clean and tidy in all areas. Food was excellent, fresh and locally sourced Proprietors were very friendly and helpful. Downside was availability of parking- had to find onstreet.

Amazing
Chris and Liz were so welcoming. There was a great choice for breakfast with all hot food cooked to perfection and the fact that you could also choose to have a home cooked evening meal (at a very reasonable cost) was a bonus for me. The view from my room (no 4) was spectacular with everything pristine. In my opinion the best b&b by far. I look forward to my next stay in their beautiful home

Lovely Place and Lovely People!
Such a lovely place! The rooms are very nice and the breakfast is delicious! Very sweet people too! The only downside is that they don’t keep your luggage until later in the day for you, which is so essential for someone like me who doesn’t have a car to store their things in and is dependent on bus schedules and each B&B’s arbitrary check in and out times. They recommended I leave my luggage at a laundromat in town, but it would have been really nice and helpful if they would have an extra key and lock box just to access the downstairs room to store it in during the afternoon. They said they don’t do it because they might not be there, but the lock box could solve the problem and would make a world of difference to guests like me! Just a suggestion for the future! ❤️ Otherwise, it was a wonderful stay!

We are delighted you enjoyed your stay with us at Goodwin House. We are sorry though that the faculties for leaving luggage did not meet your personal needs. All our travelling guests have so far been more than happy that there are luggage drop faculties in town less than 5 minutes walk away and more convenient to pick up on the way to the bus station. For security reasons once a guest checks out key returns are part of that and also free access to the property would not be permitted for the safety of other guests.

Of all the places I stayed on my 2 week trip, The Goodwin House was by far the best, from the warm and considerate Owners, to the decor, the view from my window, the food. Hats off to Liz and Chris!! Your place is a treasure and I hope to return some day.

Our stay at Goodwin Guest House is absolutely brilliant. Liz and Chris are great hosts who make you feel at home the moment you walk into the door. The location is great, 3 minutes walk from the town center and 20 minutes drive from the trail head of Scafell Pike. Would absolutely recommend!

The thing we most enjoyed at the Goodwin was the breakfast. There were really good breakie options (Vegetarian/vegan) the coffee was great too! Chris and Liz were so warm and welcoming. There was even a slice of cake on arrival. The room was clean, tidy and spacious. Everything was in walking distance and we parked outside on the road for free. I'd definitely recommend and would love to come back again. Thank you both for a wonderful trip. Polly and James x

This is one of the best B&Bs we have stayed in anywhere. The attention to detail is fabulous and the breakfasts were first rate. The host and hostess were friendly and helpful about the area. It’s also very quiet.

Delightful B&B, close to Kesiwck centre.
We spent 3 nights at Goodwin House and had a lovely time. The owners were very friendly, attentive and gave us good recommendations. The room was comfortable, clean and well equipped. The breakfast was very tasty, with plenty to choose from and a decent spread for continental breakfast. And the B&B was in a good location, just a 5 minute walk to the edge of the centre of Keswick. We would definitely return to and recommend Goodwin House when visiting Keswick!

Liked: Host Lisa, attentive, personable Did not like: Extremely small bathroom, TV remote was not working correctly yet Lisa's husband insisted that it worked fine. It did not. Restrictive shower... the hand held shower is not long enough. Some too restrictive house rules.

Hi Jacob. Thank you for your 4 out of 5 review and naturally we are very saddened to here about aspects you did not like. On our website our bathrooms are described for all our rooms as compact ensuite. Unfortunately we do not have the scope to make them larger within the confines of a period 1880 Victorian house. The hand held shower is the standard length of a hand held shower. In relation to the TV remote upon raising the issue I immediately went to your room after you had left for the day to check the device. I explained to you on your return what I had found and how to operate the device. If you had further problems or did not understand you could have come to see me and I could have shown you. Upon checking out you were asked had everything been okay with your stay to which you replied that you had enjoyed your stay and no matters of concern were raised.
