Orchid Suite on Center St - 1/2 block from Duval Sleeps 4

The Orchid Suite is a bi-level suite decorated in a rich contemporary Danish style. The bedroom is located upstairs with a bookcase divider separating two different sleeping areas, each with a queen bed. The upstairs bathroom features a tiled shower with a glass door, hairdryer, and all necessary linens. Large beach towels are also provided.

Downstairs is a living room providing a queen sleeper sofa and love seat. With A/C, ceiling fans, a TV, DVD player, stereo with CD player, and free wi-fi you can keep cool and connected to the outside world. There is a lovely dining room with plenty of seating, a tiled breakfast bar, and stools. We have recently added a new half bath.

All the amenities of a luxury property are included: a fully equipped gourmet kitchen, dishwasher, refrigerator with ice-maker, microwave, drip coffee maker, blender, and everything needed to cook, prepare, and serve a gourmet meal or just heat up leftovers from the incredible restaurants located in the surrounding area. There are two gas BBQ grills, coin-operated washer/dryers, and on-street parking.

Orchid Suite is a half-block from the famous Duval Street, just a short walk to the infamous night life. Several blocks away is the sunny South Beach with ocean swimming and a restaurant. If you prefer a pool, just a short bike ride away is Dante’s Pool Bar, located in the Historic Seaport at Conch Harbor, and open to the public (children and pets welcome) with a full bar and grill.

Orchid Suite is bi-level, with the bedroom upstairs. It may not be suitable for persons unable to climb stairs well.

Parking in Key West is very limited. This property has no assigned parking and is street parking only. You are responsible for finding parking for your vehicle. The individual making the reservation must be 25 years or older with proper identification and be an occupant of the property. The maximum number of people allowed in this property is 6. If there are more than 6 people are in your party upon arrival, your party will be asked to leave without compensation. Violation of ANY house rules will result in your party being asked to leave without compensation.

Great place to stay near Duval!

This unit had more than enough space for our group and was in a great location. It is in a gated community with codes in both the gate and your door so that you don’t have to worry about carrying a key with you.

Relaxing Key West

This property is so close to everything including a bike rental and a fabulous cuban coffee shop. We enjoyed the pool for morning aerobics. It was in the shade and very peaceful. The property managers are super nice and helpful people who care about the property

Perfect Setting

For first timers down to Key West, we got really lucky with our stay. The Orchid Suite was perfectly located right off Duval St and we really loved the private courtyard to go back to at the end of the day to relax and play cards. Our suite was perfectly furnished with towels and everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Definitely would go back.

It was a nice property. It would be nice to have some parking included or some suggestions for near by parking. The pool was a little warm for this time of year. The upstairs shower could use a remodel.

You’ll like it

This is close to moped rentals and walk to Duvall strip. Can also walk to beach. On street parking was relatively easy but could see where if it was not during Covid May be a little harder. Place was very clean and safe. Quiet at night.

Girls’ Birthday Weekend

We had a great stay in the Orchid Suite. We had one issue with an upstairs AC unit that was immediately addressed and resolved. We were very appreciative of the property manager’s promptness. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a short or extended stay near Duval.

What a great cottage in Key West!

Myself, my partner, and my sister-in-law arrived in Key West to celebrate birthdays and visit with family. We were very pleased with the well appointed cottage, its convenient location to everything on the island, including a drug store with everything we needed for breakfast and coffee at the cottage not to mention the incredibly convenient A&M Rentals next door where we rented our bikes for our stay. The Pool and courtyard were fabulous and the staff could not have been nicer! We will definitely be back again soon! Thank you Key West Hideaways and Orchid Cottage!

Spring break 2022

The property was just as advertised and perfect for my daughter and me. Location was great walking distance to Duval Street. Area was quiet in the evenings and very secure. Would definitely recommend. The only thing I would say as cleaning people did not clean the microwave it was filthy but if that is my only issue no biggie!

Girls weekend away/21st birthday

The property and location could not have been better! Parking was the only challenge-we had to park a block away. But since we walked the old town, the car didnt move until we left. One small note-we did have to wash any glasses or utensils before using. Maybe the dishwasher wasnt started before the last visitor.

Everything we needed was within walking distance. Area could be more pet-friendly though as finding a place for our small dog to answer natures call was a challenge.

Great location, great property

We’ve stayed in other townhomes at OTV before, first time in Orchid suite. Nice unit overall. Had one issue with the a/c that was remedied promptly. For the location and space, this complex is hard to beat.

Orchid suites

The location is terrific. One block from Duval. The courtyard and pool area is gorgeous and maintained every morning by on site managers. The kitchen is well stocked, outside grill available. Many great restaurants and bars within a couple of blocks. Especially recommend Martin’s. Great martini bar. On the corner is “Better than Sex” dessert bar. Only open from 7-11 pm but an absolute must! The only reason I give 4 rather than 5 stars is there is no parking provided and master BR is on second floor. (for full disclosure,we WERE aware of these before we booked. Highly recommended.

Some good, a few issues

First the good, location was awesome, short walk to Duvall St., Grounds were beautiful and quiet, very nice courtyard and pool area. I will preface the not so good with when we called the management company, their response was quick. That being said, there were sugar ants in a couple of outlets, quick response by management on this, also, upstairs bathroom lights quit working, same day response and repair by management. Window blinds need replacing, but the main issue was the air conditioning. The house is equipped two mini-split A/C units, one upstairs and one downstairs. A/C is required to stay at 73 degrees to prevent over working, and with Key West temps in May, makes for very warm bathroom conditions, in my opinion, a better A/C system may be needed.

Relax

Had a really nice time staying at the Orchid Suite. The property was extremely clean and had plenty of room for four of us. The courtyard was very well-maintained and the pool was very nice. Property was located nicely as far as walking goes. One of us had bursitis so we did Uber a bit more than we would normally. There is a CVS right across the street, which was extremely convenient and a nice little Cuban restaurant on the corner, which was great for breakfast Or lunch. Loved the space of orchid suite, and we would stay again!!!
