"Many very positive things about the resort. I made a room change and was expecting a premium room and maybe that’s what I got. The shower had issues but we adapted. I need to do a better job of understanding the rooms and other expectations if I decide to come again. Being once will help with future questions and decisions. Very special vacation for us. Thanks"

"We received a handicap room (not needed) and that was fine. However, there was a bathtub and not a walk-in shower or a way to get a hdcp person into the shower. It was a big bathroom but needed more counter/shelf space and places to hang wet towels. We were centrally located right near the pool, beach, bar and breakfast."

"We are SO glad we chosed the Southwinds Motel. If you want the REAL Key West experience go there. We wanted something authentic, not the standard marble and glass hotels that are the same everywhere. Great friendly staff, Great pool, great bar with live music, a full liqour store and ice cream / donut shop all on site. Continental breakfast to start your day. A short walk to the Southern Most point and Duval St. Is only one street over. Surrounded by multiple great restaurants within walking distance. We couldn't be happier with the place, honestly."

"Jefferson and Alejandro were great from breakfast to happy hour. They both paid attention to detail and made the experience great. Housekeeping was awesome as well! This is a perfect location in Key West!"

"The Pier House has an excellent location to Duval Street and Mallory Square, but there are numerous opportunities for improvement overall. We enjoyed our dinner entrees on our arrival night, and then drinks at the beach bar a couple of afternoons. The seaweed is a problem everywhere, but it was not raked daily at the small sandy beachfront. Our rooms had small issues that weren’t addressed until we contacted the front desk. The elevator in my building was not working properly (door closing issues). Resort fees ($60/night) and parking fees ($40/day) can really add up. The grounds are lush and beautiful. Two near-by waterfront resorts have recently been renovated, and they are vibrant, lively and welcoming, with gorgeous Key West decor. Pier House has a much more conservative, old school, and one-note feel throughout the property. "
