Wonderful apartment in a beautiful location! The hotel staff were so helpful and friendly. The spa was incredible. Food was wonderful at the hotel. We had a great time exploring the Muckross estate with the hotel bikes.

Certainly my fault for not paying closer attention but I thought I was booking the Muckross Park Hotel & Spa and not a room in their "Reserve" or apartment building adjacent to the hotel. It was unclear why each bedroom in the 2-bed apartment had different room numbers. The Reserve is tired, no elevator, no a/c, no housekeeping and one of the windows wouldn't open. I did tell a clerk who came to check on the lock that I wanted to be in the main hotel but no one responded. Pretty disappointing when I thought I was going to be in the "castle".

Traveling with family I booked an apartment so that we would have 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms. The cleanliness is not the same as the hotel and we found bugs and very dirty beds. We complained to management and was not able to make any changes until the next day. I would consider other accommodations should I return to Ireland.

Spacious and beautiful
Beautiful property. Loved the apartment and the pool. On-site restaurant convenient and enjoyed the food. Great location and located walking distance to the Muckross Abbey loop at the National park. Only negative was that we were on the ground floor and could hear every door slam throughout the building which made it a little hard to sleep. But everything else made up for that.

We stayed at the Muckross Reserve for our family of 4, which the rooms are apartment-like with 2 bedrooms & a kitchen. The room was great & the breakfasts were excellent! Well worth the extra to eat breakfast at the hotel, plus very convenient. We stayed 2 nights @ Muckross & it was the entire family’s favorite hotel while on vaca!

The Reserve at Muckross provides easy access to the KNP, while also still allowing for access to many other amenities. Highly recommend the Reserve at Muckross.

Apartment starting to look dated. Furniture more functional than comfortable, so hanging out during a typical rainy Killarney day got a little tiresome. We ate in the hotel a couple of nights and the food has really gone downhill since I last ate there. Very limited options in all three venues and both our mains in the 'fine dining' Yew Tree were overdone. We were advised to avoid our preferred dessert option as it was below par, but what we did have instead was really poor, and looked like it had been assembled from outsourced elements with stale pastry.

Cleaning regime in the apartments could be improved as a general matter, and the mattresses should be replaced or have new toppers installed. Kitchen supplies/capabilities are minimal so bring your own chopping board etc. if you're thinking about 'cooking-in'. Recommend you familiarise yourself with the hotel covid bar/dining policy, which might not be totally clear from the booking confirmation - this will avoid any misunderstandings. The spa/pool options are also limited (by Covid) so again, recommend you review in advance to avoid disappointment. I applaud the management of this hotel for proactively taking the time to respond in realtime to my feedback.

The apartments were spacious but not exactly child friendly. Under 18’s have no access to the pool and 16-17 year olds must be accompanied by an adult. The apartments weren’t clean and I found this appalling due to the covid-19 pandemic.

Clean, beautiful hotel! Only a 5-10 minute drive to town center with multiple shops and restaurants. Staff was all very friendly and accommodating! Will definitely stay here again if I ever travel to this beautiful part of Ireland again!

We originally had 1 night with them but decided to stay here again because they were so awesome!! Adrian and Julia at the front desk were more than accommodating to my group. Fabulous property and wonderful staff in an incredibly beautiful area of Ireland. Huge apartment with two bedroom, two bathrooms, kitchen and living area. Amazing spa. Really needed that relaxing in the middle of a very busy trip.

My wife and I loved the relaxed, modern and comfortable apartment after a day exploring Kerry. The Hotel itself is of a high standard and the spa facilities are exceptional. We will definitely be choosing to stay here again on our next trip!
