"We stayed in two family rooms with 6 kids and 2 adults altogether. This hotel has been in business since 1747 and we were thrilled with the history, the coziness of the hotel, the staff friendliness is second to none. And the breakfast was incredible. We were pleased. Obviously renovated for modern conveniences, but I felt like it was a vintage boutique inn and I loved it and would definitely stay again."

"Room lacked a desk/dressing table, there was a large gap where it should have been. A manager did bring a battered looking square table that would have made it a narrow space at the foot of the bed, I had already moved a smaller table into the space, so that I could set up my laptop and also use the hairdryer. The room was otherwise ok, no USB ports luckily there is a garage across the road that sold adapters. A shower over a low bath with a shower curtain that clung to my legs, noisy plumbing. Breakfast was the usual with a good choice, self-service coffee from only one machine. I was staying there for a conference unlikely that I’d choose to stay there in future. Having said that I had stayed there in the past with no issues. There’s a very good Indian restaurant within walking distance "

"Room was clean but the bedclothes smelled of stale cigarette smoke. By the time I was going to bed, it was too late to change rooms. "

"This was a wonderful location. The host was just great and went out of her way to make our stay the best. The Coach House was accommodating for our stay. Traveling with friends it was great that we could each have our own bathroom. Lots of space inside. We would stay here again in a heartbeat."

"Pet friendly- perfect for pets. And yet very clean and aesthetically beautiful. Also very comfortable with everything that I needed to cook at home or go out to restaurants. Very convenient to shopping and also local culture. It's a lovely small village with friendly people. There's a lovely large forest park very close for walks as well as the loch.The host was terrific in every way. I would recommend this to anyone."
