"We had to be in Oxfordshire for the funeral of a very special friend and came across the Red Lion in our search for accommodation for a couple of days. Our experience was excellent - the room was fine and very comfortable and the kitchen provided excellent menus. But the main comment is how brilliant your staff were - they made our visit so much more agreeable than it might have been."

"Had an absolutely amazing time here and can not wait to return.We loved everything about the property, such an excellent place for 3 16 year old girls and their mothers to celebrate their special birthdays.The pool was obviously a huge hit, but everything else was perfect too. The location was fab, really tranquil with squirrels and rabbits in the garden, however an M&S foodhall was within a 7 minute drive for supplies. The Chinese takeaway we had delivered from Mings was a real treat.To top it off, Peter was a fabulous host, we felt so welcome and nothing was too much trouble for him.Breaks away really don't get much better than this, we made some magical memories during our weekend here.Highly recommend this property!"

"Fab hotel with really friendly staff. The breakfast was amazing - plenty of choice. An old building with wonky floors, which can’t be helped. Really comfy bed and good shower. WiFi could do with an upgrade as it’s a little slow and the rooms could do with a few minor paint touch ups but overall great value for money."
