  • Beautiful thatched Devon cottage located in a sought after village of South Milton. Only 4 miles to Salcombe and 1 mile to the National Trust beach of South Milton Sands near Thurlestone. A quintessential devon cottage with oak beans and an open fire. Sitting room is cost with inglenook fireplace and smart tv. The dining area is just beyond the sitting room with oak flooring and a farmhouse dining table to seat 6. There are 3 bedrooms one of which is downstairs which would suit someone with mobility problems. The king size and singles room is situated upstairs along with the bathroom. The fully enclosed walled garden is enclosed and ideal for people with pets. There is also a lawned garden to the side of the property.

This is a charming thatch cottage, providing the full 'Devonshire' experience, in a beautiful village, near a beach which is wonderful for all the family (rock pools at low tide, lovely swimming whatever time of the tide, a cafe, toilets, and kayak hire). It is surprisingly spacious downstairs with a big table and living area, and a kitchen that is well kitted out for cooking in terms of pans, etc. There's an outhouse with a loo, washing machine, and a sink which is handy for washing sandy things after a beach day, and a little garden and seating area. It also has parking for 2 cars, which is a significant bonus! The fixtures and fittings in the house are lovely (wrought iron) and the stairs are sturdy, wide for a cottage, and were fine for my mother in her 70s. I'd highly recommend the location and the property.
