Fonab Castle Hotel & Spa
6/10 Okay
"Fonab was ok,nothing special lights in bathroom were very poor, bedside lights weren't great i couldn't read my book with them, breakfast was mediocre definitely not as nice nor the quality compare to the last owners not good value for the money you pay."
"Our suite was excellent value for money. Pool area was clean & tidy. Staff were attentive & friendly. Breakfast had plenty of options on the continental buffet as well as the option of ordering hot/cooked options. I’d honestly have stayed for an extra night if I’d known it was going to be this enjoyable! "
"Enjoyed our stay at Atholl Palace. Very friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful room with amazing views. Great choice for breakfast. Will definitely return."
"Breakfast was lovely plenty to choose from. Location was lovely.
Plenty of restaurants nearby.
Lovely to have the swimming pool, and leisure facilities.
The only thing I would say is that it didn't have a great signal in the room."
"The hotel is beautiful. Really clean, quiet and spacious rooms. The main areas eg lobby, bar and restaurant are lovely. A very relaxing hotel to be in. Leisure facilities are excellent and town is in walking distance. Would highly recommend!"
"The reception staff were all lovely and super helpful. We had a minor problem with the shower and the receptionist sent the maintenance man straight away.
We opted in for text alerts which was really helpful to ask questions about the restaurant, the pool etc.
Unfortunately we didn’t use the pool on our first two days, then it was out of action on the final day of our trip, when we’d planned to go. But that was the only slight disappointment. The food in the Waterside Restaurant was lovely, and the service was great.
We had eaten in other restaurants in the vicinity (The Courtyard and Tayside Marina) but the service in those wasn’t as good as The Waterside
The cottage was clean and had everything we needed including fridge and dishwasher. We enjoyed the spacious balcony as the weather was sunny and we could sit out of an evening enjoying the peace and tranquility.
We also remarked on the very well kept grounds "
