"Love the sofas in the king room and the chair was comfortable. Overall tho’, I’d say the rooms need to be updated. I’d like to suggest that showers might be more suitable to today’s travellers… the tub seems a little passé, in my mind). I’d like more hooks in the bathroom (I’d prefer to hang a hand towel rather than leave it on the vanity top. ). The blind was a mess (… but you already knew that!). Love the ice machine! Continental breakfast was nice - personally I want Raisin Bran, if you know what I mean! We were there for 4 nights and I missed the “breakfast bites” (eggs with spinach, etc.) that you’ve had in the past. Staff were excellent…. Housekeeping staff was always pleasant and accommodating and breakfast room attendant was always cheery and helpful."

"I’m all for giving a budget hotel some grace—after all, you usually get what you pay for. The hotel had a cute, quaint entrance with a beautiful staircase that made a great first impression, and the woman who checked us in was very kind and helpful. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended. The air conditioning didn’t work, the safe didn’t work, and neither did the bathroom light. There was also a very strange smell throughout the property. While the location was excellent, I wouldn’t recommend staying here, especially during the summer. The room was simply too hot to be comfortable, and the maintenance issues made for a disappointing stay."

"Even though everything isn’t perfect, this was my fourth stay in this hotel and I will stay here again. Pros: Very nice, comfortable and quiet room. Excellent on site laundry facilities, nice pool and exercise room. Substantial morning breakfast. Complimentary happy hour. Great location near lots of restaurants and university hangouts. Grocery and liquor store very short walk away. Cons: Very basic housekeeping. Towels were replaced daily but beds were not made once in the six nights we were there. Perhaps because neither of us moves much in our sleep. Left a message at front desk for manager to call me and was never contacted. Kitchenette is decently equipped although as much as I tried I could not get the countertop oven/broiler to work. Could not turn on the a/c. No Netflix or other streaming services. Poor selection of tv channels."
