Diamond Cliff Resort & Spa, Patong Beach

"Great resort on the outskirts of Patong Beach, but not too far if you want the madness of Bangla Road etc. Beautiful pools with great views from the front pool. We were upgraded to a higher floor room which was very large and had fantastic views. The resort is set on the cliff so lots of stairs and up and down the hill but they do have buggies going all day to take you up the hill and you never have to wait long. Might be a bit restricted if not very mobile. Breakfast was great, with a good selection and we ate in the restaurant a few evenings, which was also very nice and reasonably priced. We booked our trip to James Bond in the hotel and was very happy with the trip and also used the spa, which was divine. If you are looking for a nice resort not too far from the action would definitely recommend."

"Everything was lovely, the staff very helpful and friendly, I couldn't have wished for anything better. A little walk along a busy road to restaurants. The beach opposite was not great. Free shuttle bus to town and a nice beach. Only downside was an item got lost, the hotel said they would pay for it but actually told the staff member who lost it to pay, I was not happy with that so did not take the money. The food was lovely, the pools were very good and wherever your room was you were close to water. We had a room furthest away and high up, but never had to walk as had little carts to take you up and down, very good service."
