Stayed at the property a number of times now in the last 12 months & always leave with a positive memory of the place. Recommended to friends & family alike as the price is so competitive & staff make it as hassle free as possible. The location is amazing for access to Route 1 for road trips, a gym, one of the cheapest supermarkets in the city & a great bistro. On this occasion staff were kind enough to replace a kettle we had an issue with that very same morning. Can't fault the place at all & will always be a go to choice when returning to Iceland!

Property was in great condition. Communication from host was great and provided everything we needed. Self check in and check out a breeze. Grocery store across street. Only down side was not a lot of dining options nearby, although the bistro across the street was wonderful.

Very clean and spacious. The view was of the mountains was amazing. Easy to find from the airport and is only 10 mins drive to downtown. With a car and family, I highly recommend staying here over a hotel because you get much more space.

Beautiful property. So clean and efficient, we had a fabulous stay. Recommend hiring a car. The views were stunning from the corner apartment and only a 15 min drive away from Reykjavík. Bonus supermarket and lovely bakery just across the road. Will definitely be back.

I suggest adding a few more things in the kitchen such as… scissors to open sachets, etc., peeler and a cheese grater. Also, if possible to have a TV connection not just the internet channels as Netflix, Prime, Disney, etc.

Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay at Blue Mountain Apartments and found it a good location for a self drive holiday. The communication and information provided was very detailed and professional. We stayed over New Year and the view of the fireworks over Reykjavik was amazing! The Bonus supermarket was in walking distance along with Skalli Bistro where we enjoyed excellent pizza and ice cream. A good base for exploring Iceland and would definitely recommend.

Best value in Reykjavik
The experience with Blue Mountain was amazing, from the first communication to the last. Self check in was easy, the instructions couldn’t be clearer, the property was clean and wonderfully located, and the folks involved have clearly been doing this a long time as many things that came up that we needed were already anticipated and ready.

Very nice apartment with everything you need fitted into a small Icelandic space. Perfect for a couple traveling together. Beautiful views from the 5th floor corner unit. Communication with the host was fast and easy.

Location was central and minutes away from downtown Reykjavik. We stayed for 3 nights and visited both the Golden circle and the Peninsula. Communication with property owners were great and lots of parking on site.

The location for driving and accessibility was very good. Easy to leave the city and get to all the different locations. The apartment was above a gym and was noisy. Started at 6 am with loud music and constant banging. During the night was quiet. There was a grocery store in the mall next to the building which was convenient but very few restaurants in the area, needed to drive continually.

Check in was smooth. Email communication was great. The apartment was plenty spacious with a lot of closet space. Even though it was cold outside it did not feel cold inside at all. The kitchen was a bit small and it would have been nice to have some communal supplies like cooking oil, pepper, etc. if you want to cook there was only salt. Parking was very easy. There is no gym but they’re next to a Reebok fitness gym where you can sign up for 2 day free trial and then pay a daily rate.

The management of the property were helpful and informative. I sent emails with questions and received immediate answers. The property was clean and the windows offered a nice view. Iceland is amazing. However, for this property you must have a car. The property is not near the town or any attractions.

The toilet was so dirty when we arrived. We called and it was supposed to be cleaned by a cleaning lady the next day but it was so gross that my husband cleaned it himself. The laundry detergent was so low that it was supposed to be refilled the next day after our call but it was only refilled after 2nd call.

Our flight to Iceland was cancelled due to airplane having mechanical issues. At 5 hours past our departure time when we knew the flight was cancelled, I contacted the property to let them know we needed to cancel. We never received any acknowledgement, just repeated automated messages like we were still showing up. The airline, the car company - everyone worked with us to cancel our reservations as this was an airplane mechanical issues. The apartment company is the only one that refused to. We still continued to receive automated messages as if we were staying in the apartment. Not sure what the facilities are like, but when it comes to customer service, this seems to be a conveyor belt setup, where everything is automated, and no one bothers to read your communications or help you out. I guess customer service is not really a thing for Iceland tourism.
