Our flight to Iceland was cancelled due to airplane having mechanical issues.
At 5 hours past our departure time when we knew the flight was cancelled, I contacted the property to let them know we needed to cancel.
We never received any acknowledgement, just repeated automated messages like we were still showing up.
The airline, the car company - everyone worked with us to cancel our reservations as this was an airplane mechanical issues. The apartment company is the only one that refused to.
We still continued to receive automated messages as if we were staying in the apartment.
Not sure what the facilities are like, but when it comes to customer service, this seems to be a conveyor belt setup, where everything is automated, and no one bothers to read your communications or help you out. I guess customer service is not really a thing for Iceland tourism.
