Bathroom shower was amazing. We miss that so much now we are home. Staff were friendly and helpful. Helped us book a tea ceremony and dinner reservations. Loved this hotel. Upgrade to the deluxe room it’s worth it for extra space. "

"The staff was very helpful especially for checking on whether places were open and on obtaining a taxi. The rooms lack places to put your clothes and lack suitcases stands so one must plan to use the limited supply of hangars and live out of a suitcase. The showers are handheld so one might instead plan to use the open facilities and hot baths. The food was excellent and help is available everywhere."

"Such a beautiful and peaceful place to stay on the outskirts of Kyoto ... a hidden and perfect respite to escape the busy city action but still close enough to pop in and check out all the amazing places in town. "Our whole family loved the stay. Breakfast and kaiseki dinner were great! Onsen in our room was just amazing, I enjoyed every moment of it. Hotel staff was very helpful and rooms were clean and comfortable. Hotel itself is a bit off the beaten path and after stampede of tourists in Kyoto offers a calm refuge. If you can rent a car or afford taxi, you can visit all kinds of amazing places without any crowds."
