"A real wow location, in a characterful old water mill. A wonderful piece of France, with plenty too see, eat and drink within an easy drive along pot-hole free roads. The Domaine de Cande was especially interesting, the location of the Traitor King's (Edward VIII) marriage to Mrs Simpson by a corrupt clergyman in 1937."

"We had an excellent stay at Ballan-Miré. The house is really nice and well furnished, including towels and tea towels, BBQ, outside seating etc. The beds were done on arrival which is really appreciated. The house was clean and a good size, with two large bathrooms. The garden is big and really nice and sunny. WiFi is working well. There is a large supermarket 5 min drive away. No shops at walking distance. The hosts are welcoming, helpful and discreet. Overall a very positive experience! "

"Le gîte est chouette (cuisine bien équipée et lave-linge/étendage dispos) et le jardin vraiment au calme, on peut bien en profiter pour entendre les oiseaux. Ligré est juste à côté de Chinon (le château est une très bonne visite en soi) et ça a été un bon point de chute pour notre semaine, on a pu visiter beaucoup de sites avec 15-40 minutes de voiture max (abbaye de Fontevraud, Saumur, Azay le Rideau, Monts sur Guesnes, Richelieu...). Les propriétaires sont très accueillants (eau, vin et fleurs...

"Myself and my family have just returned from our ten day summer holiday at Barbara’s wonderful quaint property. Barbara was more than accommodating from the moment we arrived to the second we departed, a truly fantastic host! The large garden and pool had our 4 year old in his element the entire holiday enabling Mum and Dad plenty of relaxing time to reset. Thank you Barbara again! "We travelled to Princay as a family of 16, 8 adults and 8 children between 4 and 8. It had been very hard finding a configuration of properties that suited us and this was exactly what we needed. The properties are converted and done in a way that is sympathetic to their original use, the floors and walls weren't all even, but it added to the charm for us. "Hemos pasado unos dias de vacaciones en el lugar perfecto para ver los castillos del valle del Loira. El apartamento está muy bien equipado y todo está muy limpio y nuevo, al lado de la casa de los propietarios en un enclave muy tranquilo. "We were a family group with a 5 year old and a two year old. The pool is great and we made good use of it each day. The location is rural and peaceful. The house is beautiful and the gardens are wonderful with lots of space. The beds were comfortable and the house well equipped. The welcome pack of wine, local cheese and bread was a lovely touch. The grounds were secure for the children to play although the little one did manage to crawl under the gate... but he is a bit of a Houdini! Directions...

"Amazing value for money and location. Really well equipped apartments, spacious balcony and comfy beds. Kitchen didn't have any spare space for storing shopping to make the most of the self catering aspect, but we worked around it. Our apartment overlooked the car park but in fact, it was really quiet, not overlooked by other guests and our balcony had a grear view of the fortress."

"what a find clean and tidy inside a bit dated but nothing to worry about. Outside could definitely do with a cobweb sweep and the light fixed and the chairs in good condition one was broken when we git there. The site could do alot more perhaps a bit if entertainment etc and maybe a møre better takeaway although this didn’t stop is having a good holiday."

"Beau parc de loisir très calme et bien intégré dans une forêt de pins. Les cottages sont confortables, ils disposent de tout ce qu’il faut, sauf la clim. Comme tous les CenterParc, c’est un paradis pour les enfants. Le nom du parc n’est pas usurpé, des daims en liberté parcourent les espaces entre les cottages en broutant. Craintifs, ils ne se laissent pas approcher à moins de trois mètres. Les cottages sont des cubes accolés les uns aux autres, et ne sont pas très beaux. Ils sont trop visibles...
