"This was one of the most successful VRBO experiences we have had in 15 plus years. We loved the house, the sweeping ocean views, the orchard, outdoor spaces, quietness of the neighborhood, and the surrounding area so much so that we extended our stay by 2 days. Janet and Steve were very helpful, and we plan to return for another visit in April. It was a perfect place for a the two of us and our dog, who adored exploring the orchard.In no particular order, here are some of the thoughtful touches that made this a great experience:a. There are 3 coffee machines: Keurig, Nespresso (Vertuo large pods, and Mr. Coffee (drip).b. The kitchen is well stocked. I did not have to buy basics like sugar, tea, salt, olive oil, vinegar, and spices.c. The laundry room had fragrance free detergent, which I would have normally have to buy.d. The house is full of cookbooks, fun to read, and lots of travel brochures.e. The grill worked and was easy to use.f. The downstairs outdoor patio, with lounge chairs in the water feature area, was a great place to watch the sunset.g. The outdoor dining table was a lovely spot for coffee, breakfast or lunch.h. We loved the close proximity to great restaurants in Ojai (Nocciola), Montecito (Alma Fonda Fina), Summerland (Summerland Beach Cafe for breakfast, and Field & Fort for brunch), and further afield, one Michelin star French bistro (Bells's in Los Alamos, wine country). All of these places welcomed our dog!Love!"

"Beautiful home, incredible location. Missing a few essentials but the property managing company is worked quickly to rectify what they could. We loved our time there!"

"Everything was fantastic - the hosts, the amenities, and the wonderful open floor plan that allowed ten of us (three generations) to be together while still having enough space for different activities. The house is extremely well equipped with wonderful furnishings, kitchen equipment, and supplies, and the grounds are beautiful to walk."

"This fantastic property is all it is advertised as and more! You cannot beat the location, and it is spacious and luxurious- the owners have thought of everything. We saw dolphin and seals and incredible sunsets every day. Having plenty of bathrooms and a large common space was also so valuable. The ping pong table and pool table were giant hits in the evening along with the hot tub. We have stayed at Mussel Shoals every year for the last fifteen years, and this is the best so far. Thank you!"
