Motel 6 Ventura, CA - Beach

Motel 6 Ventura, CA - Beach

8/10 Good
"Good value. Nothing fancy... at all, but gets it done, some someone going just to spend the night and nothing else. Room is clean in general. However... I saw couple ants when arrived. Next day, there were more inside and into my cooler where I left ziplocs with traces of sweet. I didn't mind, but I am sure some people would find this unacceptable, gross, a disaster, etc. Not me. Not ideal, but it wasn't something that scared me away from the room... for me. Sooo... I strongly suggest perform proactive fumigation periodically. Objectively, this shouldn't happen in this day and age, in any hotel/motel. Yea, it should be called "unacceptable". Ice makers were not fully operational. One broken, and the other limping. Nice detail to provide free coffee... but once committed, you have to deliver. I went for my coffee, and all three carafes were empty... disappointing. If you won't keep them full, I strongly suggest not offering coffee at all... or... remove the carafes immediately after empty. I would leave better impression"
