Playa Blanca, Lanzarote, is 25–35 minutes away: two easy day trips. By car, visit La Oliva and its Centro de Arte Canario, the Ecomuseo de La Alcogida in Tefía, showcasing island rural life, and Betancuria, the former capital founded in 1404, with its 17th- and 18th-century houses.
