"We had the most wonderful time at the villa. Gretchen was a fantastic host—warm, communicative, and incredibly helpful. We booked around seven months in advance and stayed in touch with her for recommendations and practical information. She was absolutely wonderful throughout.The villa itself is truly one of a kind. You can feel its history in every corner, yet it is also welcoming, comfortable, and exceptionally well equipped. We were three families with five children, and it suited our needs perfectly, with plenty of room for additional guests.The spacious kitchen has everything you could possibly need, including two refrigerators. We found ourselves cooking there throughout most of the week and thoroughly enjoyed using it. The bedrooms are large, and having a bathroom for every bedroom was a real luxury. We also made frequent use of the beautiful balconies and terraces.The entire estate is magnificent and full of character. We have honestly never stayed anywhere quite like it. As we visited during the summer, the large and inviting swimming pool was a particular highlight, and we happily spent many hours there.This was a truly memorable family vacation, and every one of us enjoyed the stay immensely. Thank you, Gretchen, for such a special experience!"

"We stayed for 1 night at the start of a road trip round Italy. The hotel is only 30-40 minutes drive from Milan Linate airport, even in rush hour traffic. The receptionist was friendly and spoke good English, check-in was simple. We stayed in one of the annex rooms and enjoyed having a dedicated parking space, which felt secure for our hire car. The room itself was large and well soundproofed with a lovely modern shower - good water pressure and hot water, toiletries provided although it was an all-in-one shampoo and shower gel with no conditioner, but that’s probably about right for the price point. The bed was big (probably a UK superking) and comfortable. The decor was a bit strange with large mirrors everywhere, including on the ceiling(?!) and the only actual problem was that the WiFi didn’t really work, luckily we had mobile data and were only there for 1 night, otherwise we would have struggled. We walked to a local pizzeria and the neighbourhood seemed nice. It was a bit of a round about way to get in and out of the annex on foot due to all the locked gates, but it made it feel very secure at least. Breakfast was good, there was a large variety of options and self service drinks. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and overall we enjoyed our stay and I would recommend this hotel to anyone needing a stop over on the way from the airport towards the lakes (Como town approx 30 min drive away)."
