"We had a WONDERFUL stay and would absolutely come again if the opportunity presented itself. The view is stunning, hanging out in the pool was super fun, and the place has a nice vibe.With that said, a few things to note:- the owner was extraordinarily responsive - If you are going to stay at this property you should check with the owner if/when work is taking place at the property next door. This was an annoyance while were staying here- Absolutely check with the owner on how to heat the pool. We did that way too late in our stay. - Note that the place has two bedrooms - youll want to really think about how many of you are traveling and see if it fits your needs- The furniture could use an upgrade - but was perfectly comfortable. - if you are into birds, I cant imagine a better place - the Toucans literally flew back and forth below and above us. "

"We stayed a week and the entire trip was amazing! Patrick was a fantastic host. The view from the property was breathtaking and the daily visits from the toucans and other birds were wonderful. The property is a tremendous bargain, especially when you consider the gourmet, huge breakfasts everyday. So fabulous! It's a 10 minute trip to the supermarket and about an hour to La Fortuna for many of the touristy activities. Great roads, great restaurants all around. The place was clean, clean, clean. You won't regret renting this property! There were only two of us staying this time, but the place sleeps many more with private bathrooms all around. Loved it all!"

"The view and the owner/hostess made our stay! The personal attention at breakfast was delightful. This feels more like renting a villa with a morning chef than like a hotel. There are a couple good restaurants at the bottom of the hill for dinner. The drive to La Fortuna is 30 minutes. Be aware there is no air conditioning. There are windows with screens on 3 sides of the villa so the breeze is nice. In the morning you’ll hear a beautiful symphony of birds. I would stay here again."

"Nice isolated place just to unwind yourself, rooms are clean and spacious, the view was spectacular staff are very friendly food was good at the restaurant. "

"Beautiful and sparkling clean rooms set in a really wonderful piece of land. The photos don't do it justice! My one complaint would be that we had heard so much about the wonderful breakfasts and were really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, the more extensive menu is exclusively offered to people stopping in for breakfast only. We would have happily paid to upgrade from our free breakfast! "

"Great stay with an excellent panoramic view of Lake Arenal, especially at sunset. The villa was clean, comfortable, and the AC kept the space very comfortable. The setting was quiet and relaxing, and the location worked well for exploring the area. Overall, a beautiful place to stay for a few days. Alexis was a fantastic host with many great recommendations!"

"We stayed for two nights. The house is quite nice and the restaurant across the road is quite convenient and good. The restaurant also has a great sunset view. The road in is a little rough so highly recommend an SUV. Didn’t need 4x4 to get in but having a bigger car was helpful. The house was a little farther from activities around the volcano than I had anticipated so be mindful that from the house to the volcano is more like 50-55 min. "

"Truly a gem! The name “paradise” is not far from the mark- immaculately maintained gardens in a natural hilltop setting. Trails, a lovely swimming spot and on site activities make this place on of a kind."
