"Amazing house in a great location close enough to the action but far enough away from town to have your own secluded getaway. Communication with hosts was great and any request we had was addressed quickly. Would recommend for anyone wanting to see the beauty of Charlevoix as well as be within driving distance for day trips to Mackinac Island and the Sleeping Bear Dunes but want to avoid heavy tourist areas. Awesome vacation!"

"Meticulously maintained property (inside and out) near many of Charlevoix's attractions. We had a stay with 4 adults and a child, and the accommodations well suited all our needs. The walking path cut into the woods behind the home added a very unique, fun experience. Many great things to say, do read other's reviews! but one unique item we found as a nice feature was a quick 2-mile drive (or walk!) to the Cable Ferry that is free for walking passengers (only 5 for car) and a decent restaurant / bar set up on the other side! Can't wait to see upper MI again and stay at this property in the fall!"

"We really did enjoy our stay. It was the little cool touches that really stood out to us. There were motion sensors in the hallway that helped light up the path at night and in the fenced area of the yard. The kitchen had everything we needed to make healthy meals. Everything was very clean and organized. We enjoyed the backyard and a campfire at night! We wished we could have stayed longer."

"We very much enjoyed our stay at Ironton Cottage! The host answered my questions I had prior to arrival and was available for communication during our stay. It was a great location to experience what we had hoped to whether that was exploring downtown and shopping, watching a sunset on Lake Michigan beach, searching for Petoskey Stones at Fisherman’s Island State Park, seeing beautiful Torch Lake and picking up treats at Friske Farm Market, and more! The home was very cozy, had beautiful decor, and supplied well in the beautiful kitchen, bedding, and bath! We loved the yard space to use our bow and target, bocce ball, tossing football, and having a fire. The sunrises seen from front of house were beautiful! I also loved all the flowers around the property. I can definitely see my family returning to this property if visiting Charlevoix!"

"If you are looking for a rustic, eclectic place with lots of outdoor space, beds for 18 individual people, a great collection of vinyl records, minimal plans to cook during your stay, and easy access to the lake, this might be your place. But if you are looking for modern space with central air conditioning, a dishwasher, washer and dryer, good lighting, and a large dining space for your group, maybe keep searching.While Nate was very quick to respond to our needs (drinking water, more window units for the main and middle houses that only had one each for the upstairs of the main and the entire middle house), the heat in those spaces tainted the week for several of us. The oven in the guest cottage was unusable because it overheated and wouldn’t adjust. The claw foot tub in the main house was scary to use because it’s not flat and surrounded by curtains and nothing to grab if you slip. The property is pretty and we enjoyed the space, especially the beach. It’s very convenient to the ferry, which you can walk on for free to go across for a meal at The Landing. We’ve rented several times on VRBO and been lucky. This wasn’t really one of those times for us."
