"What a truly great place to get away from the city! We loved how it had its own private beach, and slept so peacefully to the crashing waves. The two-story cabin was quite cozy and had everything we needed. The swing, hammock, and fire pit are all nice touches that we mostly made the most of (county fire ban). Kitchen lights that dim set the mood for dinner. Host Kevin responded promptly to messages. Highly recommend! We would just caution entering the lake as we found broken glass and metal debris that had washed up. "

"The place was filthy. We even found a bed bug in the kitchen linen drawer. The sheets had hairs in them and smelled bad. The toilet bowl was dirty and the floor smelled like urine in the bathroom. The kitchen appliances were dirty on the outside, like they had never been cleaned or even wiped down. It could be a cute place to stay if it was exterminated and thoroughly cleaned. We couldn't stand to stay there especially with bed bugs and so we came home and had to thoroughly clean our clothes and bag up and throw away our travel bags. My husband even had to spray instecticide in our car to make sure we don't have bed bugs at home or in our car. This experience ruined our trip. We waisted money and time."

The caretaker changed the bedding but that was all. My husband cleaned the bathroom. We were told the water was under a boil restriction. I wonder if it's always under a boil restriction. We were provided a few bottles of water. The window air unit dripped so we had to keep a bowl under it. The location was nice with only the caretaker house near."
