"The location to waterfront was OK. It is in a good location. The driveway is step with a drop of on one side. From the cabin to the water are many rock steps, wooden stairs would have been an easier trek. The sitting area on top of the boat house was not usable. There was no umbrella. The cushions on the chairs were torn old and I believe there were fleas in the cushions. The metal chairs were too hot to sit in and uncomfortable. The swimming area was good, but coming out of the water there was no place to sit. The kyacks took up all the deck space and no room for chairs. The house was pretty much as the photos showed. We encountered many ants. They were all over the deck and kitchen sink. There was dog hair all over the sofa and floor. I had a pet, a poodle, which poodles don't shed. For these reasons I probably would book at another location on our next visit."

"Very clean & spacious property right on Lake Lure. Used their kayaks - sunned on top of the boat house - table & chairs to eat outside on covered patio overlooking the lake every morning with cofffeeGood location near a couple of restaurants and Piggly Wiggly grocery store. Would highly recommend"

"What an amazing home! Just spent a week here with my two teenagers. Absolutely beautiful! I started and ended my days on the private balcony off one of the master bedrooms. It was so cozy and relaxing looking at the water and reading and watching the sun go down. We used the SUP’s and watched the sunset while the fog rolled in one evening on the lake. The views were magnificent. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare and cook meals. The claw foot bathtub was a nice treat one evening after a storm. Plenty of closet space and dresser drawers for all our things. The beds are very comfortable and that’s saying a lot coming from me as I’m pretty particular when it comes to my sleeping comfort-I woke each morning feeling rested and ready to take on the day. We did venture out to Chimney Rock one morning and that was fun but honestly I could have just stayed at the house and been perfectly fine. Spent quite a bit of time on the lower outdoor deck and utilizing the lake floats and swimming in the little quiet cove. The luggage train was an unexpected luxury and absolutely adorable! We will be back! If you are looking for everything you could possible want and need for a lake getaway STAY HERE!"
