"We loved the history of the Inn and do recommend others to visit. What I missed most was having a refrigerator in our room, but I was told later by the staff that for $10 they would have brought a small one up to our room if we had asked them to but we didn’t know that until we were leaving. It’s a beautiful place and I enjoyed seeing the bears in the area. Be very careful around the pool area. That’s where we saw the little bear in the trash bin! The beach area was closed the weekend we were there because of the weather ( lots of rain during the week bringing up debris which was would have been dangerous for the little ones.) We enjoyed the trip to Chimney Rock and all the places we ate at were amazing! Great food and staff there at the Lake Lure Inn!!! We will be back again soon to support the people there!!!"

"Everything was very clean. Lots of room. The boathouse was excellent with paddleboards, kayak, lots of floats and life jackets, ski belts, etc. Not as many stairs down to the water as other places we saw. Good communication with the owners. WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN AND HOPE TO NEXT SUMMER.The view is spectacular!"

"This place was absolutely perfect for us! We spent as much time outdoors as possible and never even felt the need to sit in the living room or turn on the TV. The covered deck was wonderful, even during the afternoon storms, and the private dock with steps into the water truly made the experience. We loved being able to fish, float, and enjoy the lake right from the property. The location is also fantastic, just minutes from great restaurants. We will definitely stay here again and are already looking forward to our next trip. Thank you, Judy, for sharing such a special home!"

"Our family vacation was great! The best part was the easy access to the water, kayaks and paddle board. We loved the location and would definitely return again. A couple of suggestions…..the kitchen could use a deep scrub and the downstairs bathroom could use some TLC. Also, I might suggest some stair treads on both sets of stairs……..great house and wonderful vacation. There were 14 of us ages 2 weeks to 75 years old and we loved every minute of the week!"

"We had a lovely time on the lake. The house was clean and spacious and we had everything we needed to enjoy our little nook of Lake Lure - pool noodles, canoe, and several kayaks made it easy to jump right in! Kitchen was well stocked for meals and Chimney Rock was an easy 10m drive away."

"What a beautiful place to stay for a week. Fantastic view. So great to have direct access to the lake via the boathouse. The hot tub and pool were enjoyed by all. The bedrooms were very comfortable. Great dining area and well appointed kitchen."

"We've been coming to Lake Lure for the last 12 years and have been to four different homes and as my wife said when she walked in front door, oh my God, this is by far the best and that is true. It was absolutely immaculate and beautifully designed. We had eight adults and four children and everyone had their own comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms. The screened in living space was fantastic for the Ford children to go out and eat snack snacks and watch TV and play. It was really a perfect place to stay. We would come back in an instant."
