"Great lake house to spend some relaxing time at. If you are looking for a quiet, off the beaten path place to stay and recharge, this is the place for you. Everything was exactly how it was described and photographed. Just sitting on the porch and admiring the lake was very relaxing. But you can also bring or rent a kayak to get out on the water and explore. The evenings were awesome as well, just hanging out by the firepit and watching the countless stars appear as the sunsets. The house was very clean and the bed in the master was beyond comfortable. I would certainly recommend this property. The main town is a short drive away and we even ventured further to do some hiking and biking."

"We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful lake house in Newport. The location on Lake Memphremagog is wonderful peaceful, private, and the views are absolutely gorgeous. The house is bright, comfortable, and nicely updated, and we especially loved being able to spend time right by the water. It was also a great location for exploring Newport and the surrounding area while still having a quiet place to come back to at the end of the day. We had a wonderful stay and would happily return."

"If you’re looking for a lakefront home in northern Vermont, this is a great one. We had a great stay despite the insane heat. We hiked in the area and spent hours fishing on the lake in rental kayaks(Clyde River Outfitters delivers them to your rental!!). We met the owner and he couldn’t have been nicer."

"The property was beautiful and as described. The view was spectacular and I wish I had that view all year long! It was very secluded and quiet, which made the trip very relaxing. The host, Nick, was very responsive and great to deal with. The bed was comfortable and the place was very clean and contemporary. Although we knew it was a small kitchenette type of thing when booking, we didn't realize how much we would miss having an actual kitchen with a stove, especially because the weather was not great and the town didn't have a lot of options, so we would have liked cooking in more. Also because of the weather, we didn't get to use the kayaks or swim, so we can't give feedback on that part. Internet and mobile connections were spotty and the TV is app driven, so that was a little bit of a challenge for cable dinosaurs like us...lol. The town of Newport is very small and not a whole lot going on. We did really like the Thai place and the Tavern for eats, and there's a decent grocery store if you need anything. (One suggestion for Nick: a full length mirror would be nice. I bought one from Pottery Barn that hangs over a door so you wouldn't even need to drill holes!! Lol)Overall, it was a great rental and I would highly recommend it if you're looking for rest and relaxation in the summer. Winter and skiing season may be a different story, and I can only imagine what that view looks like during that time of year!! :)"
