This cabin was perfect for our family! Close to the mountain, had everything we needed, the beds were incredibly comfortable and had everything we needed. We will be back!
Olympic Valley Hideaway is a beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood shaded by aromatic pines. The kitchen is well stocked with all utensils needed to create delicious homemade meals for a family gathering. Comfortable beds and silent nights make for restful nights.
Thank you for sharing this great home!
Perfect location for Palisades ski trip. Easy 5 minute drive to the slopes. The house is super family friendly, lots of kid game and toys appreciated by our 5year old. No problems with the house, everything as pictured. Would definitely stay here again if we return to Palisades.

Delivered As Promised
Most everything worked. Sheets and linens were clean. The overall process was smooth and seamless. Comfortable home conveniently located to the ski village.
Loved our stay. Very convenient to Palisades, which was our main attraction. We got 38” of snow during our stay and the driveway was plowed S promised. Only complaint was that some of the TVs had child locks and were only able to to watch children shows. Not a huge deal since we spent most time in the great room that was very open for all guests. The gas fireplace warmed up the room QUICK.
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this cozy and comfortable home. The bunk beds and toys were perfect for the kids, the beds were incredibly comfortable and the kitchen was very well stocked. The deck out front is great for outdoor eating, and the hot tub was amazing. Home was very clean and overall such a great place for a family with two small kids!
Our family of four rented this beautiful cabin for a long weekend recently and VERY much enjoyed our stay!! We also appreciated the cleanliness of the cabin, the well stocked kitchen and comfortable beds after a day of skiing. The location is perfect!! A very short drive to the ski slopes and to downtown Lake Tahoe. And the hot tub was a great bonus!!
The house was charming and in an ideal location. Everything was very comfortable and updated. Our kids enjoyed playing out in the front yard. The hot water took a while to kick in occasionally, which was a challenge with our family needing to shower after a day at the beach before heading to dinner.
Had an amazing experience at this cabin. Even after 50+ feet of snow the house was accessible (and more importantly the hot tub was ready for use). The house was nicely laid out and roomier than it looks in the pictures. Also, the Mountaineer shuttle service was incredibly convenient, taking us to and from the mountain to ski everyday and even to dinner at the village at night. Highly recommend this cabin for anyone skiing at the Palisades or just looking for a nice stay in Tahoe.
Great location. Hot tub for kids. We had our granddaughter and three grandsons with us. Our granddaughter had her own bedroom while the three boys shared a bunk room with a bunk bed and pull out trundle. The arrangement worked perfectly. Only negative was that the TV in the boy’s room would not allow access.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home was very clean, the beds and pillows were super comfortable (so much so we looked up the brand to buy a mattress for our home) and they had games and books for the kids, as well as beach chairs and a beach umbrella. The neighborhood is very quiet and the neighbors were friendly. The home is a bit on the small side, but we had no issues with that and used the deck whenever we needed more space. The TV was great and had Netflix and Amazon options, and Alexa was available in every room. The renovations were well done, and everything worked functionally. We 100% would stay again.
Good location but property management doing a terrible job
Beds and sheets were not cleaned, the living room was dirty, bathrooms and sinks had hair and again were not cleaned.

Liked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Mechanical issues
Downstairs shower handle required excessive force to open. Water heater tripped when upstairs shower was used. These problems were known issues by the property manager. I should not have had to discover these problems and they should have been fixed before wearrived.

I was a little hesitant in renting this property as it was a new listing with no reviews. But the photos looked great and I was confident that it would work out.
I am more than happy to leave the first review of this property and am sure it will be the first 5-star review of many more to come.
This house has recently been renovated and is in excellent shape. The kitchen was packed with high end appliances, the bathrooms were very nice, the heat worked well, very nice lighting throughout, and all around this is a very nice home.
We enjoyed the hot tub each night of our stay, which was perfectly clean and more than big enough for four of us.
The location is fantastic. We used Squaw Valley's free Mountaineer service which picked us up right outside the front door and took us to the Squaw Valley base area. It could not have been more convenient. We chose to drive to Alpine Meadows (less than 10 minutes away), though you can also take Mountaineer to Squaw with another free shuttle then available between Squaw and Alpine. Super convenient either way.
We had a great vacation in Squaw Valley. We hope to come back some day, and we will definitely try to rent this unit again!

Wow!
We rent at least once per year in Tahoe and I've never had a more perfect rental experience than we had at the Squaw Valley Hideaway. Every single detail was thought of. The cabin is pristine. Everything was in new condition and a great many extras were made available such as copious toys for the kids, beach chairs + bags + umbrellas, even 3 high quality air purifiers. The house is so sensibly laid out so despite being small, it felt the perfect size. Counters and living space were not crowded with owner items. There were just a sprinkling of personal touches, like family photos that made the home feel warm and sweet. The kitchen was unbelievably well-appointed (ice cream maker, Cuisinart mixer, InstaPot, etc). They provided an easy way to recycle (a first for Tahoe, in our experience). The couch was perfectly sized and positioned for end of day movies. Instructions were clear and appliances intuitive. The internet was completely reliable and fast. The hot tub was fresh and clean. The deck was lovely (and if air quality had been better we would have used it). For a small place, everyone had a lovely room and the convenient laundry in the hall was appreciated. The location simply can't be beat. We spent almost no time "commuting", finding plenty to do within a 10 minute drive (or a bike ride). Thank you to the owners for really putting their heart into this rental.
What a charming house! The location couldn't be better - a quick shuttle stop to the Palisades resort. We just visited over MLK weekend with 2 families (8 people total). Although the house is on the small side, we chose it over a much larger (and more dated) house nearby. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of this property as well as the modern appliances. We had a small issue with the bathroom door not properly closing, and they sent over someone to fix it right away. We haven't traveled much during the pandemic, but this visit was great and we would definitely reserve this house again.
