Both rooms have all bed linens, blankets, pillows, overhead fan. There is an A/C unit on the back wall that should be able to help with the summer heat. Keep in mind the stairs are very steep, the upstairs loft is not suitable for small children. Front deck - deck table and chairs. You are welcome to camp on the deck under the trees and stars (which, by the way, will blow your mind).

Small children are not allowed in the upstairs loft, especially without adult supervision.

We want you to feel at home in our peaceful forest cabin. The extent of our interaction is up to you, but we and/or our housekeeper will be available as needed to field questions or troubleshoot. We`ll send you our house manual prior to your arrival, so you will know exactly what to expect.
For your convenience we have provided a video playlist that is jam packed with information and tutorials that will be your go-to for all questions and how-tos around the house. We recommend that you pre-download this playlist to your YouTube app, just in case, for example, the power goes out, you will have a guide to potentially get it back on.
The Treehouse is on a gated road, where there are only 3 other houses on the lane. You’ll feel at one with nature as you sit out the deck and see only trees (and maybe a deer or two) between you and Shasta Lake.
Driving to The Treehouse is simple - we aren’t far off of I-5. There is plenty of space to park your vehicles and if you need boat parking, please contact us for specific arrangements. There isn’t any public transportation that can get you here.
The `Treehouse` is a wonderfully peaceful cabin retreat, a place to come and relax and enjoy nature. The location is beautiful, quiet, and somewhat remote. There is limited-no cell service.
We do miraculously have internet in the middle of the forest! But, because of our remote location, don’t expect supersonic speeds. Things should load, but just may take a bit longer than you are used to. You came to the forest to get away from it all anyways, right? :)
Also, please keep in mind you will be in the forest, sharing a surrounding space with beautiful wildlife, birds and insects of many kinds.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to these rules. These guidelines are in place to maintain a peaceful and enjoyable environment for all guests.
For entertainment, please note: We don’t have a smart TV, but our TV is connected to a DVD player - you can always bring a DVD of your choice. Or you can pre-download some movies and connect your laptop via HDMI cable, please make sure to bring your own HDMI cable and an adaptor (if you use a Macbook).
Please note that the Apple TV is no longer available. For EV Charging - We do have an outlet but we don`t have adaptors available ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fees Disclosure: • Guests must select either a refundable $500 security deposit or an optional damage waiver for stay protection. • A pet fee applies for approved, pre-registered pets at $59 per pet • All fees are fully disclosed in advance and processed through secure, VRBO-compliant software “Enso Connect” • Acceptance of our rental agreement and applicable fees are required to receive access to the property. No exceptions.
- The deck is a fun place to hang out, but it’s very high up, so obviously no climbing and children should be supervised to ensure their safety.
- The forest is as fragile as it is breathtaking. Leave it better than you found it :) Be mindful of your footprint, and please do your part to respect and preserve this special place. Don`t harm the trees, dump waste, litter, or burn anything.
- We ask that you keep your kitchen waste inside as much as possible. This is because of the local bear population and their messy habit of knocking over garbage cans and dragging bags down the hill.
- As the registered guest, you`re required to share all of the above information (and all information in the house manual) with others in your party and take responsibility for any damage(s) they might incur during your stay.
- For security, we have cameras mounted facing the side of the house and the driveway. If you`re uncomfortable with this, please get in touch before your booking so that we can make an alternative arrangement.

Highly recommended clean vacation cabin in the woods
Was looking for a nice cabin in the woods and the Treehouse was perfect for our family. It really felt like a treehouse and my kids loved it. Very clean, great host, very responsive, heaters worked excellent (outside temp was 34), great views of the forest and lake shasta. Awesome time spent. Great setup. Thanks for the memorable experience!
This was the perfect place to relax and get some writing done without constant distraction. The host gave plenty of resources for us to make our stay comfortable, peaceful, and stress free.We very much enjoyed our stay. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
We enjoyed our short stay at the Treehouse. It was peaceful and comfortable. Would definitely stay again. The house and surrounding woods are beautiful. The stairs to get to the bedrooms are steep, so something to keep in mind if that may be a concern for guests.
This was such a peaceful, restful spot. The drive up was breath taking too.

The remote location was nice. We felt like we had the forest to ourselves mostly. The neighbors 3 dogs would bark all hours and sometimes come up to the house. I would come back
