Friendly pub with air conditioned bedroom!

Welcoming pub with accommodation. The homemade pie that I had for my evening meal was excellent, and breakfast was served quickly and with a smile. The bedroom had air conditioning, which on a weekend when temperatures were 30 degrees plus made a huge difference to the stay.

Great country pub

Lovely to see a proper village pub so busy on a couple of weekday nights in Mid-January. And quite rightly so - friendly staff, friendly locals and friendly guests. Breakfasts were great, dinners delicious and very reasonably priced (wife said the Rib-eye steak was the best 'pub steak' shed ever had and my chicken goujons were fantastic.

It’s a little tired but the staff on the whole are friendly. The food is okay and the room was comfortable although one side of the bed sloped towards the outer edge! The heating was on as well, despite the radiator set to ‘off’.

Simply the Best

Bedroom very clean and bed really comfortable. Shower excellent, shower cream & body lotion, fluffy white towels hairdryer all in room. Tea & coffee AND hot chocolate, BISCUITS & enough milk.
