"Victoria is kind and helpful and the property is a beautiful rambling half hostel but with beautifully appointed rooms and upholstered walls and a treasure of things to look at in common areas. Beautiful old buildings and grounds. Our shower ran cold to cool and was confusing to control, but it was hot and we didn’t ask about it so can’t complain too much there. Pool was also lovely and clean."

"The property was tranquil and located within easy driving distance of the historic Cuenca district. The room was rather stark with a television that glitched quite a bit but we were not into the room that much. "There was a problem when I arrived and they said the garage was full but I showed them my confirmation of garage reservation and eventually they agreed that I could park my motorcycle in the garage as agreed in writing 2 months earlier when I booked. The hotel should make sure that they sort this problem out as the reception said it happened many times to other people…."

"The beds were divine and the view was lovely. A couple of housekeeping slips were corrected promptly and with kindness. This shows the true standard of service. The evening meal was excellent and the manchego cheese ice cream was sensational. The breakfast was not great and reception staff seemed hassled but everyone did their job well. A tiny bit disappointed but perhaps we had built up our expectations too much. All in all a good experience."
