The room was rather stark with a television that glitched quite a bit but we were not into the room that much. Despite the uninspiring interior decor of the room, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean. "Victoria is kind and helpful and the property is a beautiful rambling half hostel but with beautifully appointed rooms and upholstered walls and a treasure of things to look at in common areas. Beautiful old buildings and grounds. Our shower ran cold to cool and was confusing to control, but it was hot and we didn’t ask about it so can’t complain too much there. Pool was also lovely and clean."

I had a nice stay here (3 nights). My room was clean and I particularly enjoyed the balcony and mountain view. It was nice to be able to sit outside and relax. The location is great: just a few minutes walk from Plaza Mayor and a relatively short walk up to the area where you can see some great views The bus from the AVE train station (Estación de Cuenca-Fernando Zóbel) is easy to use and very convenient (it drops off/picks up at Plaza Mayor). Its about 10-15 minutes walk from the train station and 10 minutes walk from the base of the hills which is where tourists will want to visit. There are lots of hostels closer, but if you want a bit more comfort and a decent shower, then this is a good hotel. Its clean, nothing too fancy , nothing uncomfortable either, and has a good WIFI connection.
