Great Condo, Decent Location, Disappointing Host Communication

This condo is amazing! It is huge, nicely furnished, includes a balcony with a limited view of the strip, and was clean and comfortable. The location, while being a couple blocks off the strip, was still relatively convenient with a walkway direct to the MGM Grand. The only complaint we had about the unit itself was that the blinds in the bedroom didn't close all the way. There was a gap of several inches in the middle that let in too much light after a night out in Vegas. We called the front desk, thinking we were doing something wrong, who sent someone up to tell us that the curtains were simply too short and there was nothing they could do. Curtains aside, we thought this was a great place. Finally, the only other thing we'd mention is that the communication with the host left a bit to be desired. Leading up to our stay we had not heard anything about check-in instructions. After 3 messages to the host with no response, we finally called the host directly. He was nice and explained the check-in process was simply checking in at the front desk like a regular hotel guest that booked directly. Easy enough, but every other VRBO we've rented has notified us of check-in instructions leading up to the day so we were expecting the same with this rental and were concerned when our messages went unanswered. All in all, everything worked out in the end and I'd recommend this place.

Ahead of our arrival we thought our host, Ryan, was great. Quick to respond to questions, etc. On the day of check-in….it was VERY different. Our host never processed our reservation through the main system at MGM Signature. We tried calling at check-in….messaged through VRBO…called the vrbo customer service number where they also tried contacting them for us. We ended up needing them (vrbo customer service) to cancel out reservation and process a refund. After over an hour of waiting g and trying to contact our host it was our only choice. Even after contacting Ryan at least a half a dozen times, as well as after getting support from vrbo, he never responded or apologized for the inconvenience.MGM Signature was AMAZING! They worked to get us art with a new unit, helping us to navigate the financial struggle this has put us. We loved the facility, the pools across all of MGM were great and location was great as well. We use vrbo regularly, and have never run into an issue like this. Hopefully it was just a fluke.Some sort of recognition of this mishap from our host would have been appreciated. Please be sure to have the host show proof of the reservation being put in the MGM system and to provide a confirmation number through MGM BEFORE you leave for your trip. It seems like other renters were able to check-in. Wish we would have left a better review!

The residence was exactly as described in the listing. The residence is in a convenient location with easy access to the monorail. Our host was supportive when we asked questions and attentive to our needs. If/when we come back to Vegas, we would book again!
