The Lodge

Very comfortable accommodation with fabulous view across the valley. Hosts on site very helpful when needed….and I loved the fresh coffee in the Dairy on the Saturday morning….great way to meet people too.

A little bit of heaven in the Borders

Absolutely spotless on arrival with a quality welcome gift awaiting. Well equipped lodge with everything we needed and lovely toiletries. Enjoyable tour of the farm with Damien to meet the animals and to hear about the farm's history. Well off the road so peaceful and tranquil making for a very relaxed break. Fabulous views from the lodge and hot tub.

Relaxing and re-energising break.

Lovely setting and very relaxing. Suitable for couples and families. Good to have all the farm animals to see and feed - especially for younger children. Nice touch to have the honesty shop for essentials, and the pop-up cafe on site. Customer service was great - the proprietors were very friendly and went out of their way to make you feel welcome.

Perfect getaway

The Lodge at Airhouses was spotlessly clean and had everything you would need. We were greeted on arrival and infomed of the amenities on site. The hot tub was very clean and checked twice daily. There is plenty of walking/cycling directly from Airhouses and 10 mins train journey intlo Edinburgh only a 25 minute car drive away.

Amazing little getaway

The lodge is in a beautiful location - the views are phenomenal & the animals truly make the whole experience. We were able to buy feed from the honesty shop & feed all of the friendly animals. The hot tub was immaculate and the cottage was so cosy. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would love to come again! Perfect peaceful retreat

Second visit

Short break with my husband. We stayed in capercaillie earlier this year and loved it so much we came back! The lodge is perfect for 2, everything you could need is provided. The hot tub is lovely with a view of the fields. Very relaxing.

A cosy winter get away

Airhouses is set in the most spectacular countryside. This was our fifth visit but we were still able to find a new walk from the door of The Lodge ( to the start of "Walk with Cuthbert the shepherd", pilgrim trail). Other more familiar walks were as lovely as ever. The hot tub, even with flurries of snow, was great fun. The Lodge is a perfect size for two and is very well appointed. We would strongly recommend this as a holiday destination.

Tranquil break

We thoroughly enjoyed another relaxing holiday at Airhouses. The accommodations are beautifully maintained and well thought out. We particularly enjoy being able to spend the days largely walking from the lodge to enjoy the countryside. The staff are helpful but unobtrusive.

Two week stay

Wow what can I say, since we’ve been going to Edinburgh this is the only place where we can totally relax, Damian and the team are all amazing. They make us feel so welcome. Plenty to do in the surrounding areas. We’re always sad to leave because of how much we love staying here. Thank you again for a wonderful holiday and we will be booking again for next year. Fantastic

Everything about Airhouses is fantastic...the animals, the log cabin, the peace, the views, the welcome treats, the bed, the location. It's the first place in the UK I've stayed at where I've immediately booked to return again the following year. The walks around the immaculate farm are fantastic. Loved being able to buy animal feed in the small shop and feeding the donkeys, pygmy goats, shetland ponies etc

Beautiful relaxing hideaway

Absolutely fabulous place, lodge was spotless with everything and more you could need. Even a welcome basket for us and one for our dog. Place was so peaceful, facilities second to none. Hot tub was sparking and checked twice daily every day! Staff extremely helpful and friendly without being intrusive. Would definitely recommend and we will be back.

Idyllic

Great for couple with pup. Stunning views Gorgeous and thoughtful little goodie bag on arrival. Kitchen well stocked with equipment and eco friendly cleaning sprays etc. Luxury bedding, towels and robes. Damian was on hand for everything - a real gem of a place with a homely feel.

A fantastic Lodge. Beautifully clean, lovely and warm with great views. Attention to detail from owners and welcome pack truly first class. Hot tub checked twice daily, farm shop well stocked, very private accommodation. Five stars does not do it justice.

Luxury in the foothills of the Lammermuirs

If you are looking to top up your mental well being in a rural location oozing with peace, tranquility and luxury, then this is the place. Add to that amazing equation totally spotless accommodation and a management team with an attitude of "The answer's Yes, now what's the question", and you can just immerse yourself in the Airhouses experience and you will not be disappointed. Having spent many years there at Xmas, it was fabulous to soak up the Scottish Summer.

What an absolute gem!

Airhouses was an absolute pleasure from start to finish.The lodge was spotless with absolutely everything you would need and a smashing welcome pack.The best shower ever and a lovely comfortable bed.Wonderful walks within the grounds, everything was so well thought out.The animals to feed were an added bonus,Dylan the donkey is a proper character .Dog friendly and our collie Mollie was welcomed and also loved her stay. Would recommend highly and will be back.

Fabulous Stay

The Lodge was beautifully clean and well maintained. It's compact but we managed with the 2 of us and our dog, and the utility room gave us a bit extra room. Small outdoor table and 2 chairs on the top balcony and another set by the hot tub. The hot tub was on the lower deck and we could lock the gate on the top part which was great as our dog could see us. The views are amazing from both lodge and hot tub with the sun in the morning and late afternoon. The site has some lovely pet animals with the pigs just adorable. Good connection with WiFi. Could do with a few more utensils like serving spoons, plastic glasses and more mugs. Bed was so comfortable. Storage for clothes was small and would have preferred a set of drawers rather than dressing table. Lovely hot and powerful shower with the biggest rain shower head ever! Was a fabulous comfortable stay.

Stunning location

The location is simply fabulous, with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Damian was on hand to answer any of our questions and ensure we were settled in. Don't forget to visit the pop up Cafe on a Saturday morning for yummy hot drinks and milkshakes! We loved taking a walk around the farm and feeding the animals (very reasonable 25p per bag). We travelled as a couple and had a great time but Airhouses would also be brilliant for families.
