Perfectly located a half block off the Royal Mile, nicely appointed rooms, comfortable beds. Only had 1 meal at the hotel and it was adequate. Nice touches, like Scottish shortbread left in the rooms after cleaning, and water and coffee replenished daily.

One of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in and we travel a lot. Great location, big rooms, excellent breakfast. Very sad we only stayed one night. Perfect hotel!

A fantastic place. Perfect location in the city. Wonderful old building with loads of character, renovated to a very high standard. Bar / restaurant is a great place to be. All the staff were fantastic, attentive and friendly. Food is superb. Will stay there again.

"There was no AC which is my main thing, it's getting too hot for not having AC, also the amenities close way to early like pool 730pm last entry or breakfast 10am. Also the upkeep, everything too noisy too creeky, impossible to sleep no insulation for noise at all. Overpriced Breakfast was good though ..."
