During the day, explore Launceston Castle, a 13th-century Norman motte-and-bailey castle that offers gorgeous country views, and in the evening, come home to enjoy a glass of wine or two on the cottage’s pretty Juliet balcony.
Find your spot in the private parking area (there’s ample space for everyone’s vehicles) and step into this charming reverse-level layout retreat sitting beside a grand manor house. Make your way up to the first floor and you’ll find a stunning open-plan living/kitchen/dining area that boasts a characterful vaulted ceiling with exposed beams that add to the space’s rustic elegance. When it’s time to eat, head to the sleek kitchen area to whip up a feast and then gather everyone around the wooden dining table to share a delicious meal together. Alternatively, head out onto the patio area, fire up a BBQ and dine alfresco. Afterwards, enjoy a little friendly competition in the shared games room, or head back to the lounge area to warm your toes by the crackling wood burner.
