"This hotel is slightly quirky but is very nice. I slept very well here and enjoy my room and the view over the valley. I didn’t eat at the restaurant for breakfast or dinner and I wanted something light, so can’t comment on the food. The view from the restaurant looked amazing. The only thing that would make the stay better would be to provide guests with a kettle to make tea or coffee in their rooms. I will definitely stay here again. "After reading a bad review, we were unsure whether to book but it was unwarranted because our stay was wonderful! The host was welcoming, helping us with a restaurant booking nearby. The room was the largest we have stayed in since travelling around France. It said online it had air conditioning but it had a fan which was sufficient as the large room was very cool."

"Rambling large country home on a hilltop in the Dordogne area of SW France. Great outdoor amenities with a heated pool and large hot tub and outdoor shower. Also outdoor dining area with umbrellas and lovely views. The XL dining room was a great bonus for our family dinners. All bedrooms have an en-suite bathroom. There is no powder bathroom or half bath. As Americans we struggled with the size of the small showers. Also there is no A/C and the upstairs can get quite warm in the summer. There are fans in all of the bedrooms. Andy was very helpful and always ready to guide us about the property and the region and make great suggestions. They have an excellent binder in the house as well with a lot of info. We all had a wonderful time here! "

"Truly beautiful setting, wonderfully elegant. Dining on the terrace with hot air balloons floating on the horizon- so picturesque. Wonderful place. Indoor and outdoor pools provide excellent relaxation. Many good restaurants nearby, but we were happy breakfasting and dining at the chateau. "
