"Farther than we thought from FQ. About 25 stops/20 min. Older hotel with very nice lobby. Small elevator. Our room was on the front of hotel so the streetcar was loud all night but not overwhelming. Easy to get where we wanted to go from here. Safe parking lot. "

"Close walking distance to Bourbon street, French quarter, plenty stuff around. Friendly staff, decent rooms. "

"The desk manager was there when I arrived and was extremely friendly and accommodating. She should get a bonus for excellent customer service. Everything about the stay was as expected, and I will return."

"The negative: Lighting in the room was awful, especially if you don’t get one with a view. Trying to work the TV with the remote became the bane of my existence. Bathroom doors was second to that. This next one I understand isn’t really something the staff can control, but be careful walking from the Quarter to the hotel late at night, especially in front of the Brother’s store on Carondelet and Common St. Especially after midnight; take an Uber. We went into the store to purchase snacks and water for the room, and ran into an NOPD officer across the way who warned us to be careful at that store due to frequent criminal activity. There are some shady characters that seemed to hang out in front of that store everyday and night, but to be fair, we didn’t experience any issues, other than having to be more alert. The breakfast (that we had to pay for even though we supposedly paid for it upon booking), wasn’t anything to write home about. The positive: Staff were super friendly and helpful, service was great as it is in all other places in New Orleans we have visited. Walkability to the Quarter was super convenient. Same with the Street Car stations around the area. Bottom line: Affordable hotel located in the CBD, with great walkability to the Quarter, river, Warehouse District, Superdome. Great if you’re young and/or not traveling with children. However we will stay elsewhere in the future, just not our cup of tea"

"A well run hotel, clean, comfortable, friendly and helpful staff. Parking was ok, although construction made it a bit less accessible, and potholes made it less enjoyable (true for the entire city...). The pool was a great perk with teens. Overall, great place."

"A well situated boutique hotel with a charming lobby and expresso coffee bar had unexpectedly closed its restaurant, which was a disappointment. The room rate for the weekend we stayed seemed excessive. "
