With new COVID-19 rules and measures to follow, travel looks a lot different nowadays. Here's what you need to know before you get on that plane to Lehua:

• Investigate if any travel restrictions apply to your destination and origin before booking anything. Also check if there are any conditions you'll have to follow on arrival, such as testing and quarantining.
• Keep your face mask on during airport screening. A TSA officer will ask you to lower your mask temporarily for ID purposes.
• To reduce the risk of cross-contamination, place your boarding pass on the scanner yourself and then hold it up for inspection. Do not hand your boarding pass directly to a TSA agent.
• TSA now allows passengers to take one container of hand sanitizer, up to 12 oz (350 ml) in size, in carry-on baggage. This will have to be removed from your bag and submitted for screening.
• Empty everything from your pocket, like your wallet, coins and keys, and place them in your carry-on instead of the bins. This will reduce handling during the screening process.
• Transport all food items in a clear plastic bag and also put them in a screening bin. Keeping food separate from your carry-on means it's less likely a TSA officer will need to open and touch your bag for inspection.
