Relaxing stay at Quinta da Bicuda, it's located in the quiet affluent suburbs of Cascais. Although we didn't have a car we got around by making lots of use of the bi-cycles provided to visitors, large undeveloped Guincho beach is about 20 mins cycle ride along mostly dedicated cycle tracks which was great and the town beaches are also easily cycled to along the coastal track. We also made regular use of the masses of Uber drivers that service the town making getting in and out for an evening meal easy and pretty cheap for 4. The pool looks like something used in a zoo animal enclosure and is not your typical holiday apartment pool, but for us it was great to cool off in and was usually quiet so we got good stints of use to ourselves. The grounds around the villas are lovely and green with lots of shade provided by the mature trees and with plenty of sun beds to lounge on. The stables are located just behind the villas so there's always some horses trotting about, which also seemed to increase the number of flys buzzing around although this was a minor irritation. The staff are really good, very helpful with any queries or issues especially Jasmine and Ines who were just great 10/10 for customer service. If your looking for a quiet relaxing base, in low density accommodation on the edge of Cascais not far from the beach this is your place!

Well located right off the main Avenida Libertad. Waking distance to restaurants, designer shopping, Cinema, etc. Very clean, safe and quiet.

The hotel is beautiful. The staff are well trained and the manager provided us with a fantastic dinner recommendation and took the time to walk us through some of the sights we should see in the area and throughout Lisbon. Our room very comfortable. The bed was the perfect firmness, shower was large and the fridge well stocked. We had a drink at the bar before dinner and they were accommodating with our allergies. Breakfast was delicious. They had a variety of options, including fresh fruit, cheeses, yogurts, various types of bread, pastries, eggs, hams, cereals, and granola. They also had a variety of juices and coffees. We did not make use of the pool or gym, but they looked well maintained and inviting. We would have gone for a swim, but it was not quite warm enough (even for us Canadians). Wonderful stay and the perfect way to end our trip to Portugal.

Great location and the history of the building itself was amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful. I wish there was a bar area to sit at and meet other travelers, but they did have a small bar set up in the lobby and there are comfortable areas to sit at. They are able to help you with tour information. The breakfast is amazing!

A few small things in the room needed to be repaired. Nothing was seriously broken; it's more a matter of not being maintained properly. Also, the rooms are very warm and the cooling is not turned on, making for an uncomfortably warm night. You can't leave the window open because it's too loud outside until at least midnight.
