The Horse Box is nestled in the heart of Wensleydale surrounded by the beautiful Yorkshire Dales perfect for cycling enthusiasts or the avid walker. Accommodating two guests and boasting a sumptuous king-size bed, the master bedroom offers guests plenty of space to kick back, relax and enjoy your holiday. Furthermore, the outside seating invites guests to enjoy stunning views across to Penhill whilst sipping your favourite tipple as the sun goes down.
Whether you are looking for cosy cottage living or country walks in the Yorkshire Dales, a stay in one of The Old Vets cottages has got it covered. With rolling hills for miles and village pubs within walking distance, The Horse Box is the perfect place to unwind after a day of adventures.
Situated on the south-facing side of the market town of Leyburn in North Yorkshire, the cottage was once part of the local veterinary surgery and has now been converted into a beautiful holiday cottage for guests to enjoy. Featuring open-plan living throughout the ground floor and a spacious master bedroom with a wonderful en-suite bathroom from which to relax. The Horse Box guests will never want to leave this stunning hideaway after filling their days with adventures in the dales such as cycling, walking or just taking it easy exploring the romance of Jervaulx Abbey or picturesque Aysgarth Falls just a 20 minutes drive away.
The lawn and seating area overlooks peaceful, uninterrupted views. On balmy summer evenings, pop open a bottle of wine and get stuck into a good book. Comfortable and sumptuous, you may never wish to venture away from The Horse Box, but should you feel you want to explore without the car, there are endless scenic walks and cycle routes nearby - just step out of the cottage door and embrace the day ahead.
Should you wish to share you break with family or friends, The Dog Kennels is also available to book sleeping a further two guests in this ideal location, whether it be a cycling or walking holiday or just a mini break in the Dales to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life. Ground Floor: Entrance hallway leading to Open-plan kitchen/sitting/dining area Kitchen/Dining area With a Belfast sink, electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge-freezer and dining table seating four guests. Sitting area With a large comfortable sofa, wall-mounted Smart television and feature electric wood-burning stove. Utility Room With washing machine and plenty of storage. Cloakroom With wash basin, vanity unit, W/C and heated towel rail.
First Floor: Master bedroom With a 5' king-size bed, dressing table, snuggle chair, wall-mounted Smart television and walk in wardrobe/dressing area to the far end of the room with hanging and storage space. En-suite bathroom With a bath, large walk-in shower with rainfall and handheld shower head, wash basin, WC and heated towel rail.
External bike storage/utility room: With secure storage for bikes.
Outside: Seating area for two on the lawned area near the driveway with breath taking views of Wensleydale. Private parking for one car on the driveway. EVCP (This is payable at point via the Monta app and shared with guests of The Dog Kennels)
