The whole experience was A1 . Nice bar, good wine and beer, had a superb diner in the restaurant, and great breakfast the following morning
Staff were attentive and friendly.
We had a great one-night stay, the building had tons of character and the room was warm and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and the service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommended!
It was in a lovely Dales village reasonably priced included breakfast and a everning menu which included Gluten free options , one of the reasons we decided to stay .
Great location, free parking and breakfast and very fair price. Excellent food and nice bar with beer garden downstairs. Located in a very scenic and central part of the Yorkshire dales. Highly recommend staying here, staff were really good to us.
Very impressive B & B-lovely & clean-above average sized room for a ‘comfy’ room
Brilliant value -breakfast was of a very high standard -more on a Michelin level -very well presented & good quality

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
We had a lovely stay at the Middle house, very friendly staff and locals. The food served in the pub was very good pub food and the dog friendly bat suited our needs. The room was very clean with a comfy bed if not a bit dated. Would definitely stay here again.
Great location in the Yorkshire Dales! We had our own car, and The Middle House was very centrally located. The breakfast was superb, the whole hotel was kept very clean, and all of the people working there were very friendly and helpful.
Lovely hotel, very friendly, lovely comfy room with excellent shower, excellent amenities. The breakfast is also very nice indeed, big, tasty and lots of choice. Fully recommend this hotel if you are planning walks in the north Yorkshire dales.
Nice place, John and staff were friendly and accommodating. Nice and clean, plenty of tea & coffee. Nice soft towels. The breakfast was magnificent, absolutely top drawer, I’d stay again just for that!!
A lovely hotel, more comfortable than I expected for the price
Highlights are good, drinks, service, friendliness, bar and restaurant areas and general cleanliness
They seem to be working on refurbs and my rooms bed was a little uncomfortable
Fantastic small hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Comfortable room and a lovely bathroom. Great to have a bath after a long walk. Didn't want to walk any further so had dinner in the restaurant and food was excellent. Breakfast in the morning was generous and good quality. Would stay again.
Excellent service. Attentive and friendly staff.
Superb meal !! Very well presented and very tasty. Couldn’t fault the food. It was delicious.
Clean rooms and pleasant dining room, including outdoor dining.
The only negative feedback - the pillows are hard and either too thin or too fat. But the bed was very comfortable.
Very happy with our stay - the staff were excellent - food lovely (not too much choice though) and the room was comfortable. We'd go back and we would recommend the hotel to others
