"Nice quiet location about 15 minute drive from Bellagio. Nice host and clean house. Two surprises that caught us off guard…first, though there were two bathrooms advertised, but there was only one shower for four people. Second and more significant, there was no heat in the unit until mid October. The weather was in the upper 40s/low 50s at night, so the house was downright cold most of the time. "Wonderful apartment, very cute and quiet village. Very clean, comfortable, safe. Communication excellent. I recommend you have a rental car. I didn't and it is a 15-min/ 1km hike up from the very reliable and inexpensive ferry and train. It took me (not young and used to the US suburbs) a day to get acclimatized to this - it is an alpine village. The town of Lierna and this apartment are perfectly suited to day hikers. "

"The view was outstanding, even breathtaking. Staff were very friendly, evening meal was fine (good pizzas) Breakfast was poor and expensive Overall the hotel is tired and in need of refurbishment. The views definitely make up for it"

"Palazzo di Vice Re was one of the only options available to us on the days we needed so we gave it a chance and it was the best decision for our vacation. Once we arrived we were kindly greeted by the lovely concierge Arianna, and the very passionate owner / architect Cristiano who brought our bags to our room. We explained our air Bnb situation and were greeted with exceptional hospitality and warmth. On his own time Cristiano gave us a private tour of his palazzo, as well as the history behind each and every room of the villa that has been in his family for 4 generations including restorations and improvements he’s completed himself. He even took us down to his wine cellar and explained where / why he chose to outsource wine from smaller family and women owned vineyards which we greatly appreciated. They provided a private beach area with a jacuzzi that had an amazing view and comfortable chairs. They recommended the best wine we have ever had. Arianna was nothing less than amazing, every morning she took our breakfast order and personalized it to whatever we wanted. They both took time to talk to use about our upcoming adventures and gave their recommendations for anything we needed. We wish we could give this place 10 stars, from the ambiance to the hospitality everything was absolutely perfect from the moment we got there up until the moment we left. Our only regret was not staying there longer! Special thank you to Arianna and Cristiano for everything, we will be back."

"Hotel is in the actual middle of Como with lake views. Rooms are very nice. Flooring is new and bathrooms are modern marble and good size. Complimentary breakfast is elegant with tablecloths and servers with lake views. All the restaurants, cafes and shops are nearby walking distance. It’s so convenient staying at the Palace."
