"Excellent location but the communication from the hotel wasn’t good. I messaged the hotel the morning of my arrival after not receiving a key code (the place is unmanned). I arrived at the property and still had not received any instruction to gain access. Then I had to make a very expensive phone call to the people that run the property and was told “oh you should never book with Expedia as we can’t contact you there.” Not very helpful. "Lovely quiet, rural area. Fabulous forestry, rocky outcrops, scenery so green. Great for walking, cycling, exploring this part of northern Bavaria. Even though rural roads, superb, easy from A to B. Staff lovely in the hotel. Spoke good English for restricted German speakers. Comfort Room spacious and clean. Little terrace with outside seating. Great views. No sound issues from rooms next door or above (we were ground floor). Great shower! But no tea/coffee facilities in room. The usual...

"The property is nice with children to walk around, play and see animals. Unfortunately when we were there the SPA and Sauna were closed. It will be nice if the property posts the operation hours for sauna and SPA. There is also a small museum of tractors on side. You need to ask at the reception for them to open the door."
